It is shocking that France has only classified this as an anti-Semitic hate crime after an international outcry. Dr. Sarah Halimi, an orthodox Jew, was tortured and murdered in her Paris apartment by a devout Muslim invader with a prior record of harassment toward her. Because she knew and feared the intruder, who lived in her building, Halimi had formally requested that the public housing department move her to a new apartment. Nothing was done.
“My sister was terribly afraid of this man, he had called her a ‘dirty Jew,’ but she was afraid that filing a complaint would be dangerous for her,” her brother William Attal explained in an interview with French news agency AFP following the family’s decision last week to take the case to the public prosecutor.
Attal said that the family’s goal was not to have the police condemned, but for Halimi’s murder to be legally tried as a hate crime. “Our struggle is for justice to recognize that this was an Islamist and antisemitic murder,” Attal declared.

Nonetheless, a French judge dropped hate crime charges. Was he trying to cover up the rampant Islamic antisemitism that is engulfing France? Was he hoping that if he didn’t charge this savage with a hate crime, that other Muslims would become “moderate”? That ruling was a crime in itself; it is good that it was reversed.

The brutal murder of a Jewish woman in Paris has been declared an “anti-Semitic attack”, following global outcry at French authorities’ refusal to condemn the killing as an anti-Jewish hate crime.
Orthodox Jew Sarah Halimi, 65, was beaten to death by her Franco-Malian neighbour, 27-year-old Kobili Traoré, in April 2017. Neighbours said they heard Traoré shout “Allahu akbar”, Arabic for “God is Great”, before throwing Halimi’s body off a balcony.
“I’ve killed the demon,” he allegedly shouted in Arabic, according to French media.
In July 2017, a judge charged Traoré with murder, but declined to add anti-Semitic motivation to the charge.
Halimi’s family said that Traoré should have been charged with “murder with antisemitism as an aggravating circumstance.”
The judgment sparked fury across France and was widely reported on by the international media.
Following the international furore, French President Emmanuel Macron called for a thorough investigation into the murder.

As if that will make any difference, it is acknowledging the very obvious, france is a hateful anti semitic country that makes no pretence of not hating Jews, while pandering to every muslim crime the qur’an has. france is an international disgrace, its phoney forced admitting of yet another of french bigotry means little.

Here’s my guess at what sentence will be pronounced “Not guilty by reason of cultural differences”. Which would be typical of french law as it fears even a nasty look from a muslim.

I was thinking more along the lines of six months of house arrest and mandatory, government funded, anger management classes. That is, of course, if they throw the book at that thing. However, you’re assessment is probably correct.

It would be cruel and unusual punishment to keep a muslim from obstructing traffic when they prey in the street. If confined to their residence, they would be incapable of supervising their wives, resulting in them being given the same sentence. The Jewish community would have to arrange visits so as to allow him to maintain his french legal right to hate Jews.

I recall reading about this atrocious crime. How could a man treat a woman like this, how could a human being do this to another person? What depravity, what hate must have been in the killer’s heart.
This was an anti-Semitic hate crime, we all knew it from the beginning. Why are Jewish people leaving France en-masse?
He has promised He will judge and we await this, but I feel the judgement will encompass all who have facilitated such vile actions.
RIP Dr. Salimi, God knows what you suffered, you should have passed one day in your bed peacefully, and surrounded by family, but that is not what happened.

I think you are right. Hitler was going to be opposed at every turn, once the world understood what he was doing, but hordes of imported, subsidized, and inbred muslims multiply like flies. Sadly, civilized society is proving to be too weak to stand up to the obvious.

These are softball quesitons, Tm, and I believe are entirely rhetorical. If you are brought up, and embace, and ideology of hate, that tells you to kill the Jews because, oh, well, it says so in some book you probably never read, it sounds like a good idea. To add to the inducement, since you are engagaging in holy war, you qualify for 72 virgins in the hereafter (or is it grapes) PLUS some boys as a bonus. Pretty heady stuff for weak minds!

I haven’t read about this horrible crime in the newspapers or on the internet.
This monster 27-year-old Kobili Traoré, who brutally murdered Orthodox Jew Sarah Halimi, 65 should have his face splashed across all the newspapers in Canada and the US.
I am tired of the media always covering up for Muslims who commit horrific crimes against Jews.
France is full of anti-Semitic Muslims and must be held accountable for its lack of action.

the french are cowards and collaborators. they lapdanced the nazis and betrayed their Jewish neighbors. now, the moslem crackpots are using paris as their pissoir. good. they deserve it. all Jews should leave france. it is such a despicable and contemptible anti semitic toilet. just go. to Israel. if some have no money to leave we should take up funding for that. it’s a very hard thing to leave but it’s a very dangerous thing to stay there.

The FRENCH POLICE & Authorities I am afraid are behaving like the FRENCH after the massive defeat of their army in 1940 & later under PETAIN of the VICHY Government when many thousands of French Jews including Children were rounded up & shipped out by the NAZI GESTAPO,
This was very clearly an attack on a vulnerable defencleless Older Jewish woman only because she was a JEW!
