This is how quickly the UK is ceasing to be a free society and is rapidly descending into totalitarianism. The “far right extremists” to which Rowley refers are simply people who don’t want to see their country subjugated and islamized, and who have spoken out against this happening. The UK doesn’t face a “far right” terror threat that is anything like the jihad terror threat. The “far right” is not a global movement of terrorists who have vowed to take over Britain. For the most part it is just patriotic Britons who have been unjustly tarred with this label. Sure, ther are some violent thugs among them, and they should be prosecuted as is warranted, but the idea that they pose a threat equivalent to that of the jihadis is UK government propaganda.

Violent Islamists should be treated like paedophiles and have their children taken away from them, Britain’s top counter terrorist officer said last night.
Story continues below advertisementMark Rowley called for police, social workers and family court judges to step in and protect the vulnerable families of twisted extremists.
The Scotland Yard chief officer said terrorist propaganda and sexual abuse were ‘equally wicked’ forces for children.
But, he warned, extremists were often left to care for impressionable youngsters despite convictions for violence and spreading hate.
In a keynote speech, Mr Rowley also warned against underestimating the threat of the Far Right as he revealed four plots were foiled last year.
Delivering a comprehensive assessment of the enduring terrorist threat on the eve of his retirement, the top police officer:
Called for the British Islamic State killers dubbed ‘The Beatles’ to face justice, adding: ‘Locking them up and throwing away the key would be a good idea.’
Urged web giants to do more to stop terrorists plotting attacks, spreading vile propaganda and hiding behind the anonymity of the dark web.
Branded Far Right and Islamist extremists a ‘toxic combination’ who feed off each other to spread hatred and division.
Painted a stark picture of the challenge facing police and MI5, with more than 600 ongoing investigations into at least 3,000 suspects.Mr Rowley is stepping down from the Metropolitan Police just months after leading the nation’s response to five catastrophic terrorist attacks.
The Assistant Commissioner paid tribute to his emergency service colleagues and members of the public who acted with ‘compassion, determination and heroism’.
But he warned that the threat of Islamist terrorism was here to stay despite IS’s loss of huge swathes of territory in Iraq and Syria.
Speaking ahead of a valedictory speech to the Policy Exchange think-tank, he said terrorist arrests increased by a third last year.
Mr Rowley criticised pro-Islamist groups, including Cage, and admitted the authorities have sometimes been too ‘tolerant of intolerance’.
He warned that firebrand Islamists and a resurgent Far Right often want to sow the same division, fear and mistrust.
Mr Rowley compared the danger the children of some Islamists face to that of paedophiles, saying more could be done to protect them.
He said around 100 children have been safeguarded since the start of the conflict but the system must be improved.
‘The police, social services and the courts have a lot of experience of safeguarding work and taking cases through the family courts where there are paedophile parents,’ he said.
‘If we have got parents showing propaganda material does that pose a risk to children that should be treated in the same way as parents of paedophiles? It is the level of risk.
‘If you know parents are interested in sex with children, or if you know parents believe that people of their faith or their belief should hate everybody else and corrupt children for it, for me those are equally wicked environments to expose children to.’
Turning to the fate of ‘The Beatles’, Mr Rowley said they must be put on public trial but declined to say in which country….
Mr Rowley said: ‘The people that have done the most gravest things overseas, the ones that do not fight to the death, we would all like to see them never able to do anyone any harm ever again.
‘Locking them up and throwing the key away would be a great idea, it depends on the jurisdiction’s legal framework, whether there is evidence to meet everyone’s assumptions.’ Mr Rowley said the ability of extremists and terrorists to ‘ply their trade through the internet’ remains a matter of ‘grave concern’….
Mr Rowley called on the public to join the struggle against terrorism, saying there are a ‘million things’ people can do to counter extremist views.
‘It is about being tolerant and united members of society, not falling for some of the nonsense with which others try to create fear and discord’ he said….

I think we should be grateful that this man at least highlights the dangers of Islam and what it teaches its children, but where he loses his mind is equating those Britons who for the sake their children and society fight back against Islam, and recommending that their children to be removed. What seems to totally miss this man is that if it were not for Islam, its murderous violence and imposition of itself on British society, counter groups would not have formed.
Michael, as far as I can tell is that people like Mark Roley have never read the Qur’an to discover what is behind Islam’s hatred, bigotry and violence. Often if they want to understand something about Islam they invite in some lying bastard Muslim who quotes all the nicey, nicey stuff, but never the more than 100 verses urging Muslims to murderous violence again “unbelievers”, Jews, Christians and infidels.

Along with death and tax, another certainty in British life is that posturing clown Mark Rowley wasting his time we pay for looking under every stone for the answers he seeks except the right ones, the man has delusions of adequacy.
The columnist Katy Hopkins was threatened by this jerk with having her children “taken away” before the Daily Wail sacked her for writing the truth, truth is not allowed when it conflicts with the narrative. Katy is a mother to three children under 13, she feels concerned about the governments motives in allowing the Islamification of Britain to proceed while the police are urged and trained to stamp out legitimate protest about what they refuse to consider are serious crimes against the non Islamic people who are forced to rely upon his judgement and the “law”.
What Rowley is really concerned about is what concerns us all in the UK, the fact that he is there to act as the scarlet cape in a bull ring, to distract the public’s attention so as they don’t understand the role the political classes and civil service mandarins have played and are still playing in the destruction of our society and all we hold dear.
He like the rest of the gang, know which side his bread is buttered, and it’s buttered both sides, he’ll get his reward for his loyalty to the politicians. We will however hate and despise him for the sell out he really is.
God rot him and all the others like him.

Well said. This is a common approach among politicians and public servants in Western countries today: “… looking under every stone for the answers he seeks except the right ones …”. ‘Truth’ is the furthest thing from their evil little politically correct minds. Too often when deciding that they should have an ‘understanding’ of Islam, they do not get it from the likes of Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, Jay Smith, etc., they invite in some lying bastard imam and then gullibly swallow his distorted version of this rubbish ideology.
P.S. Here in Canada there have already been muttering threats about the authorities taking away children from their parents if when at school the children do not reflect the ‘right’ attitudes toward the views of the despotic, intolerant LGBTQ mob. Anyone who has bothered to research the now ‘cool guy on the block’, transgenderism, and thus among others read the report from the John Hopkins Hospital – after their 40 years of dealing with this matter – knows that transgenderism is a “life-destroying mental disorder that deserves understanding, treatment and prevention.” But never to worry, the ‘authorities’ don’t wish to accept such scientific findings, thus it is ‘bigoted’ and we can bet that in time the list of things that will constitute grounds for removing children from parents will be the children’s failure to favourably view Islam. Already my grandchildren have been herded into the school hall to sing ‘the Ramadan song’.

We can bet that you are correct in this assumption. The difference is that Muslims act as a unit and among non-Muslim there is almost no united action. Yes, we’ve seen Christian groups comprising numbers of races protesting various matters, but too often the bulk of Canadians sit on their fat butts and do nothing. Apathy and complacency rules! Further, because of political correctness in the West and the howls of “Islamophobia” from Muslims and imbecile liberals, cowardly and unprincipled Western authorities just capitulate to Muslim wails of discrimination or accusation of Islamophobia. If people in positions of authority had any ‘guts’ they’d tell Muslims to go shove their Islamophobia crap.

We hear it all the time in the EU and the USA. When Islamist terror and migrant crime are in the headlines the myth of right-wing extremism and terror is brought up in newspaper and govt. reports. Where are all the right-wing extremist No-Go zones? Where are all the right-wing extremists in our prisons for the murders, gang rapes, burglaries, assaults and robberies? Why is it that we only see “right-wing” extremists in our courts for offensive facebook/twitter posts and not the violent crimes that Islamists/migrants overwhelmingly represent in each of our countries?

And Rowley is “birds of a feather” with Kathleen Wynne, who in Ontario has now decreed that parents who don’t “sieg heil” to the radical fringe Greenwich Village/San Francisco/Fire Island “values” can have THEIR children taken away from them. She also believes children can be declared transgender from birth so untoward things can be done to them in utter secrecy (with parents kept totally in the dark about what’s being done to their kids) of the type as associated with criminal enterprises including but not limited to organized crime, and also with totalitarian regimes such as the old Soviet Union.
