This is a mainstream Philly newspaper. Have you ever seen any enemedia newspaper run an admiring piece about Jewish students studying the Torah, or Christians studying the New Testament? And this is in Philadelphia, where a Muslim recently shot a Philly cop at point-blank range and explained that he did it for Allah. Had that Muslim shooter, Edward Archer, memorized the Quran? This ridiculous article is all part of the ongoing enemedia effort to mainstream and normalize Islam in the United States, and to make us resigned and complacent in the face of ongoing jihad activity.
The Philadelphia Inquirer should be ashamed of itself, if it were capable of shame at this point, but it isn’t any different from newspapers all over the country — they all would have run this, and would never give any similar treatment to activities of any other religion.

For two hours every evening, six students sit on the floor at the Quba Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies in West Philadelphia, their backs against a wall, heads buried in workbooks. It may take years, but they’re on their way toward a goal that few in the school’s three-decade history have reached.
They are attempting to memorize the Quran — all 114 chapters and 6,200 verses, in Arabic, of the sacred text that Muslims believe was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. If they succeed, they will become distinguished members of the Muslim community, respected for their expertise. When they die, they are granted special access to paradise.
“We call them the Keepers of God’s Word,” said Imam Anas Muhaimin, the institute’s director. “It’s every parent’s dream that their children memorize the Quran.”
As young as 9, the Quba students are taking on the holy challenge, a centuries-old tradition, at a time when Islam and its institutions are a burgeoning presence in the region. Worldwide, it is the fastest-growing major religion, with 1.8 billion adherents; Muslims are expected to outnumber Christians by 2075, according to a 2017 study by the Pew Research Center. In the United States, their numbers have risen from 2.75 million in 2011 to nearly 3.5 million.
As many as 400,000 live in Eastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, and 180,000 in New Jersey. Those populations now served by at least 175 mosques and about 40 Islamic schools, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
Twenty years ago, after-school classes for Quran memorization were difficult to find, said Imam Numaan Cheema, of the Zubaida Foundation, a nonprofit that includes a mosque and school in Yardley, Bucks County. If they wanted their children to learn the book by rote, he said, area families often had to send them away to boarding schools.
That is no longer the case.
Zubaida added a memorization course two years ago. The IQRA Institute in Trooper (Iqra, Arabic for “read,” is the first word revealed in the Quran) was founded three years ago, in part to meet a growing demand for Islamic education and Quran memorization, said Abdullah Bakran, director of the Montgomery County school. The GCLEA (Gracious Center of Learning and Enrichment Activities) in Cherry Hill began a Quran memorization program in August.
Increasingly, Cheema said, young Muslims seeking instruction are being influenced by the extensive coverage of the faith on television and in social media. They want to learn more….
Abdullah Patterson, 13, of West Philadelphia, has learned seven of the 30 juz by heart. He wants to be an imam, and has been memorizing the Quran after school with Muhaimin for five years. He loves to watch football and play video games. But outside interests don’t outstrip his desire to finish what he started.
“When you learn it, you get a big reward — paradise. There are gardens, rivers flowing, things you can’t imagine,” Patterson said. “I know I will finish.”

Indeed, Sgtsnuffy; Christianity tossed to the wayside by godless progressives. If our children display Christian beliefs, they are vilified and alienated from the Liberal Progressive wolf-pack. Meanwhile, this Philadelphia rag, as do others, lauds the Cult of Perversity, Bigotry, and Nihilistic endeavors. This deep-seated affliction is a leftist progressive/ Democrats Frankenstein creation bent on the downfall of this Constitutional Republic and its Judaeo-Christian principles. Tell me why our children are not to do or say anything about Jesus or thier Christian faith but they allow Muslims private rooms to pray in? Some colleges are putting in foot baths to accommodate them. Why when Christians and Jews aren’t allowed to practice their religion? How come Islam always gets a pass? Drives me crazy!

Karma will come back and bite the progressives and Muslims on the hiny. If it were not for Trump, it would be worse. I guess I just don’t get why the Left is so hell bent on changing the fabric of our country do you? The country has never been so divided. I think it’s even worse than the sixties. At least you could express your opinion then. Not anymore! Conservatives can’t even speak on college campuses now without a big protest and students shouting them down. What ever happened to the exchange of ideas?

Since the 60s the leftists learned a lesson which is, take right of freedom of speech from the grasp conservatives. The 60s was, as I see it, a failed ‘revolution; the leftist/Marxist handlers learned from errors of the past and have changed tactics. Totalitarianism is their endeavor, as it was in the 60s but they are savvier and indoctrination has been induced, nearing, five to six decades. It scares the you-know out of me but more so, causes my blood to boil.

“Philadelphia” means the “city of brotherly love”. The islamic influence has changed it to the “city of pedophiles” as its embrace of islam includes that. It is now the “city of buggery muslims”.

Oh great! They can learn the Quran and then start killing Jews, Christians and all of the other infidels like their so called holy book tells them to do. They say that younger Muslims are more devout than their parents. If that’s true it’s going to be a problem. In 2075 they will outnumber Christians? Not very comforting. Glad I’ll be dead and gone!

When we had four years of Obummer bringing thousands of them over here, and their STILL coming in by the thousands! Big deal! the quran has 143 sura’s or chapters.. Some are long (the ones at the beginning about 6 pages) and some are short (the ones at the end about 3 lines)…And those who memorised the Quran are called wise. So lets put this into some perspective..How many popular songs from years ago can you remember the words to? Songs from your childhood to songs you have heard today… The answer is over 2000 songs for most people and that is a conservative figure.. Also, take into consideration that the songs you heard as a child and know the words to, aren’t drummed into your head everyday…It can be 15 years on and you still know the words…So no, memorising the Quran, is no great feat.. Even if it is in another language.. Mussie Islamic scholars are required to learn the quran in classic Arabic. I can rattle off songs in another language, have no idea what the song is about, but I know the words..So it is with the quran, the scholars can rattle off the sura’s, but 90% of them have no idea what they are saying. Parrots are taught to speak the same way Islamic scholars are taught the quran..

If you can remember the words to 2000 or more songs you have a serious problem. Based on my experience I think the ability to remember the words to 20 songs is remarkable. Someone may remember the first line to 2000 songs, but to remember all of the words to 2000 songs is unbelievable.

I am not a believer but as far as I know in Christianity no description of heaven is provided, (though the torments of hell were well illustrated to scare believers) it is somewhat vague.
Only in Islam is such great detail given and note well it is mainly described for the benefit of men, as in Moham’s times women were not thought worthy of paradise and as they were not expected like the men, to die in battle no paradise was offered as an enticement for that. In fact Moham himself said he had seen that most of the people in hell were women!

Clearly…you are not a believer. If you were, and had ever read the Bible (particularly the New Testament Book of Revelation) you’d realize just how ignorant you really are.
My prayer is that you will realize you are a sinner, who cannot save himself, and are destined for hell unless you repent of your sins, accept the penalty Jesus Christ paid for your sins (through shedding His own blood on your behalf on the cross) and receive Him as Lord of your life and the Savior of your soul.
Then, and only then, will you be spiritually-empowered (born-again) to not only read, but understand, the Word of God, experience new life and (at death) receive life eternal in heaven as the scriptures clearly promise.

I remember when it was polite to refer to them as negroes and “colored people”. NAACP (national association for the advancement of colored people) and the National Negro College Fund. However, when those terms became “unacceptable”, I ceased their use. Don’t ask me why, just blame it on stupidity. However, when those of Western European descent were continuously called “Caucasian” … and there is very little link between the groups … I went back to the use of “negro”.

I’ve been archiving everything about Islam in this country, and around the world, since 9/11, and my folder about islam and schools, has grown by leaps and bounds. I just wish Trump would say something or do something about this subject, and the many muslim training camps in this country! I have one in my state…and I don’t like it, one bit! Anyway, thought I share some of my links about Islam and how it’s growing in our schools….It’s sickening! The first one I have is from Feb of 2013! So it’s not like Trump doesn’t know it’s going on, but he still sends hundreds of our soldiers to Afghanistan, when he needs to take of his own back yard!! We have THOUSANDS that Obummer brought over here over in his whole term, and I just read the report that we don’t have as many coming in, (25,000 this year), but it’s still adding to what we already have had brought in by Obummer, in his 4 years!
