Law enforcement: no evidence of connection between Florida school shooter and white supremacist group #FakeNews #Parkland

103

The enemedia, taking the lead from the hard-left ADL, one of their pet left-wing smear groups, are furiously peddling a white supremacist motive in the tragic Florida school shooting. It was the ADL that was the original source of the claim that Nicholas Cruz had ties to a white supremacist group, the Republic of Florida (ROF). It was obvious from the first that ROF was exploiting the horror — and the left was only to happy to help. ROF spokesman Jordan Jereb is now backtracking on his statement to the ADL, posting on the social media forum that his statement to the ADL was the result of a “misunderstanding.” That won’t get coverage in the enemedia echo chamber which is now playing the white nazi supremacist meme on an endless loop.

Here is what the Daily Beast ran with. But read the last line.

Cruz reportedly trained with a white supremacist group. According to the Anti-Defamation League, “A spokesperson for the white supremacist group Republic of Florida (ROF) told the Anti-Defamation League on Thursday, February 15, that Nikolas Cruz, the man charged with the previous day’s deadly shooting spree at a Parkland, Florida, high school, was associated with his group.” The Republic of Florida’s website states, “Republic Of Florida is a white civil rights organization fighting for white Identitarian politics, And the ultimate creation of a white ethnostate so we can be free from anti-white policies and have policies that reflect our values as white westerners. The ROF Militia is the armed forces of the Republic Of Florida.” The group’s captain, Jordan Jereb, told The Daily Beast, “There’s a very real sense of feminism being a cancer. That could’ve played into what he did, but we have female members of RoF … we’re not a big fan of Jews. I think there were a lot of Jews at the school that might have been messing with him.” Local law enforcement say they have no evidence of connection between Cruz and the ROF.

Story continues below advertisement

Talk about burying the lede.

More over at Breitbart:

There are increasing doubts about claims that the suspect in Wednesday’s mass shooting at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida was tied to a white supremacist group, the Republic of Florida (ROF).

On Thursday morning, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) reported that a spokesperson for the ROF had “admitted” the suspect, Nikolas Cruz, was “associated” with the group:

A spokesperson for the white supremacist group Republic of Florida (ROF) told the Anti-Defamation League on Thursday, February 15, that Nikolas Cruz, the man charged with the previous day’s deadly shooting spree at a Parkland, Florida, high school, was associated with his group.

After self-described ROF members claimed on the discussion forum 4chan that Cruz had also been a member, the Anti-Defamation League called the ROF hotline and spoke with an ROF member who identified himself as Jordan Jereb.

Jereb said that Cruz was associated with ROF, having been “brought up” by another member. Jereb added that Cruz had participated in one or more ROF training exercises in the Tallahassee area, carpooling with other ROF members from south Florida.

The Associated Press later reported that the ROF had “confirmed” Cruz was a “member” of the organization:

However, the AP’s report noted that Jereb “didn’t know Cruz personally.”

The Daily Beast went further, reporting that the shooter had been seen wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

But the story soon began to unravel.

The Tallahassee Democrat quoted local law enforcement officials as saying they had no evidence linking Cruz to the ROF:

Local law enforcement sources have not found a connection between accused Parkland school shooter Nikolas Cruz and a Tallahassee-based paramilitary group.

Leon County law enforcement sources told the Tallahassee Democrat that they could not find information linking Cruz, 19, to the Republic of Florida Militia, as claimed by the group’s self-proclaimed leader Jordan Jereb.

His comments to the Anti-Defamation League and The Associated Press set off a media firestorm Thursday at about midday that Cruz was connected to the alt-right, white nationalist group.

Even left-wing reporters and pundits — hardly shy to link mass shooters with the far-right — began to doubt the story.

A team of reporters at HuffPost published an article Thursday evening under the headline, “Evidence Linking Alleged Florida Shooter To White Supremacist Group Is Really Thin.”

The HuffPost article names the ADL as the original source of the claim that Cruz had ties to the ROF. It notes, however, that Jereb himself seemed to have backtracked on his statement to the ADL, posting on the Gab social media forum that his statement to the ADL was the result of a “misunderstanding.”

It adds that the Southern Poverty Law Center “has not been able to confirm any ties between Cruz and ROF.”

Rumors have circulated on social media that the entire story was a prank planted by users of the 4Chan message boards, or an attempt by Jereb to seek attention.

The ADL, for its part, is not backing down, telling HuffPost that “it is for law enforcement to 100% confirm that he was a part of this group.”

An attempt by Breitbart News to reach the ADL for comment was unsuccessful.

The FBI was powerless to stop this tragedy, even though it is the American LE agency with responsibility for identifying and interdicting this kind of crime, and even though it was tipped off to a direct, explicit on-line threat to perpetrate a school-shooting mass murder — because such an evil, blood-thirsty massacre of innocents as happened in Florida Wednesday so closely resembles a jihad — which obama has deceived the FBI into blindness of its existence.
It’s of a piece with the FBI agents following two armed jihadis — at a polite distance — on their way to do mass murder at the Garland, Texas “Draw Mohamet” competition.

Yes, fake news is exactly what Pamela Geller put out: First, got the wrong guy’s Facebook account, then removed it and posted “UPDATE: I have been unable to confirm if earlier reports of a Facebook page belonging to Nicholas Cruz is indeed his.”
Then, fell for a hoax, and posted the photo of the wrong guy, a libertarian Christian named Marcel Fontaine ironically wearing a commie shirt. That photo has been quietly removed with no apology or acknowledgement of a screw-up.
All the while, the article’s title mentioned “Antifa/Islamist” links exposed in the killer’s social media. That title has been quietly changed to “Florida Mass Shooter’s Instagram Account” with no apology, but the URL to that article still says “islamic-left”: gellerreport.com/2018/02/fla-schol-shooter-islamic-left.html

That’s a hell of a publicity stunt for the white supremacist group, associating itself with a mass murderer for publicity. I can understand a terrorist group like ISIS taking credit for the Vegas attack, but it’s pretty crazy for a white nationalist group to falsely claim that a mass murderer was its member but it had nothing to do with the mass murder. Normally, such groups want to distance themselves from a mass murderer.

To recap what we know so far: Cruz was adopted at birth. According to classmates and his social media, he hated Muslims, derided Muslims as “terrorists and bombers”, was seen wearing a Trump hat, wears a MAGA hat in one of his Instagram accounts, was obsessed with guns and the military, was in the Junior ROTC, had a penchant for wearing patriotic shirts, wears a U.S. Army hat while posing with knives in Instagram photos, and captioned one photo: “Well at least we now know what it means when a sand durka says ‘allahu Akbar.'”

There’s always an effort by Pamela Geller to connect every mass shooting to Muslims and now to Antifa. She tried to connect the Vegas shooting to both Antifa and ISIS. Also, she tried to blame Muslims for the Quebec City mosque shooting and the 2011 Norway attacks, when they were really right-wing terrorist attacks on Muslims and leftists, respectively.
Also, she assumes that any attack by a Muslim MUST be a terrorist attack, and cannot possibly be due to mental illness or personal issues.

If you check the record you will find more similarities than differences between this incident and the Columbine school massacre in ’99. Unless and until school security measures are taken more seriously and greatly strengthened, this will happen repeatedly. As a matter of pure conjecture, until that happens there will be another such incident and the weapon that will be used is already in the hands of the perpetrator or perpetrators.

Gun control is simply using both hands on the weapon to fire in self-defense.

Be safe, be trained, be alert.

Btw … Trust me on this – If the FBI had been informed that he was a member of a White Supremacist group, he would have been monitored and investigated thoroughly.

We do not know yet if this is the case, but if it is the FBI should come clean. Likely, it is NOT true – and Cruz was NOT a White Supremacist (which btw is ludicrous on its face) – but we won’t know until we know what the FBI did before they dropped the ball.

Carl Rove and Neil Cavuto are in agreement that Trump should definitely cry today, Saturday, in his public appearance in observance of the Florida mass murder, like Bush and obama did in similar situations.
Whatever Trump does that is NOT like Bush and obama is a great thing.

Islam is far, FAR more dangerous than white supremacy — and a much more global threat as well. White supremacy is no threat in India, Thailand or Nigeria, yet Islamic jihad very much is.
