MPLAB X IDE és un programari que s'executa en un PC (Windows®, Mac OS®, Linux®) per desenvolupar aplicacions per a microcontroladors Microchip. És un entorn de desenvolupament integrat (IDE), ja que proporciona un únic "entorn" que inclou diverses eines per desenvolupar codi per a microcontroladors encastats.
Per descarregar MPLAB podem anar a http://www.microchip.com/mplab/mplab-x-ide , a la pestanya Downloads
Canviem X.XX per 4.10 o el que toqui
tar -xvf MPLABX-vX.XX-linux-installer.tar
chmod u+x MPLABX-vX.XX-linux-installer.sh
sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 libx11-6:i386 libxext6:i386 libstdc++6:i386 libexpat1:i386
sudo ./MPLABX-vX.XX-linux-installer.sh

Nota: Si dóna aquest error:
These 32 bit libraries were not found and are needed for MPLAB X to run:
libstdc++.so

És per que no hem fet el pas previ:
sudo apt-get install libc6:i386 libx11-6:i386 libxext6:i386 libstdc++6:i386 libexpat1:i386
