MLA Hon. Dustin Duncan, Weyburn-Big Muddy


Dear Lord, we pray for the Honourable Dustin Duncan. We ask that you would continue the work that you are doing in his life. Thank you for the significant impact he has had on the province in his decade at the legislature. We ask you to bolster his personal resources as he caries a heavy portfolio. Continue using him to improve the lives of The people of Saskatchewan. Amen.
Dustin Duncan was first elected as MLA for the constituency of Weyburn-Big Muddy in a by-election in June 2006 at the age of 26. Dustin was re-elected in the 2007, 2011, and 2016 provincial elections.
Dustin is currently the Minister of Environment and Minister responsible for SaskPower, SaskWater, Saskatchewan Water Security Agency, and the Global Transportation Hub Authority. He is also a member of the Board of Internal Economy. Previously, he served as Minister of Energy and Resources, Minister responsible for SaskEnergy Incorporated and Saskatchewan Telecommunications, Minister of Health, and Minister of Environment. He was first appointed to cabinet in May 2009 as Minister of Tourism, Parks, Culture and Sport. Prior to being named to cabinet, Dustin served as chair of the legislature’s Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies.
Dustin and his wife Amanda were both born, raised, and educated in the Weyburn area. He and Amanda have one son, Jack. Dustin obtained an undergraduate degree in History from the University of Regina.
