Lord we thank you for Catherine’s life. Bless her for all
she does so well and especially the passion she has for bringing justice into
the lives of the poor. We thank you for the clarity with which she sees issues
and give her wisdom as she applies this to her every day encounters. Bless her
family and give her joy and relaxation this season.
Before her election to Queen's Park in 2012, she spent a decade working on behalf of the families of Kitchener-Waterloo to improve quality and access to education. In her roles as Trustee, Chair of the Waterloo Region District School Board, Vice President of the Canadian School Boards' Association, and President of the Ontario Public School Boards' Association, she served more than 60,000 staff and students and successfully balanced a budget of $675 million.
Catherine and her husband, Dale, make their home in Kitchener-Waterloo, where they live with their two children, Aidan and Claire.
