Germany: Journalist Sentenced to Six Months Jail for Publishing Historic Photo

Story continues below advertisementGERMANY – A district court in Munich earlier today sentenced German journalist Michael Stürzenberger to six months in jail and an additional 100 hours of charitable work for publishing this photo in his Facebook timeline.
It shows Adolf Hitler and Amin al-Husseini, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, shaking hands in 1941 in Berlin.

Along with the photo, he had written a review of an article in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, ‘Hakenkreuz und Halbmond’ (“Swastika and Crescent Moon”) about the National Socialists’ admiration for Islam, and mentioned his own review of that Süddeutsche article in PI-News.
For this post, in particular the photo, the court found Stürzenberger guilty of “disseminating propaganda of anti-constitutional organizations”.
Prosecution had accused Stürzenberger of “inciting hatred towards Islam” and “denigrating Islam” by publishing the photo. A superficial onlooker, prosecution argued, could not know that this black and white photo in Stürzenberger’s timeline was a historical document.According to PI-News, the sentence might be given as a suspended sentence for three and a half years.

You are right, Suresh. Many of us think that having guns will protect the 1st Amendment and this country. I have thought that myself. But the founders didn’t make the First Amendment the first, by accident. They knew that everything else — everything — hinged on truly free speech. If and when we lose free speech, the rest will spiral downward quickly.

You should see the Youtube video (in English) and hear about what the Judge said. BTW in Germany they have plenty of Nazi history in their textbooks. The judge was protecting Islam but he was accused of promoting naziism. The Judge even implies that the alliance between Muslims and the Nazis didn’t exist.

thank you very much for posting this horrifying video, I just couldn’t believe my ears and my eyes watching and hearing what happened in that court of “justice!” That female who has been appointed as a judge (by whom for heaven’s sake!?) has got brown matter in her head and should be impeached, fired! Such a judge is a disgrace!

Yes- this is exactly how the Nazis did it- and the German people in general are behaving in the same way. It’s amazing how normal people- not monsters can be conditioned to accept this behavior. I have an ex-sister in law- a Marxist- who is a well known public figure. She and her comrades scheme 24 * 7. And to them justified violence and suppression of rights is almost second nature. Here in the US I seem to remember US slavery being taught without white-washing — except for the fact the muslums were the supply side of African slavery.
You’re right about the development of the West and persecution of native Americans, that wasn’t covered at all from what I remember — at least not in my public schools.
Although in the USA, some native American tribes live like Saudi sheikhs because of Indian gaming casinos and ALL native Americans are guaranteed a free university education — all expenses paid. Tribal lands are also self governing. I know of a Native american tribe where every member of the tribe used to get $15K a month from the tribe’s gaming casino because they’re a very spiritual people.

Yes…they practice taqiyya….BUT…. there are some real Westernized Muslims who unfortunately think they can have a “kinder and gentler” version of Islam (pre-Medinan Islam) and/or reform it (such as Dr. Zuhdi Jasser). They are “cherry pickers” of the teachings of Muhammad. They are just as dangerous because they won’t renounce Islam in toto thereby provide coverage for the violent “true” believers within the Ummah. These wishy-washy Muslims help maintain that old refrain of…. “but NOT ALL MUSLIMS…” are terrorists… while the terrorists blend right into the Ummah. But these not so devout Muslims will eventually get killed too when Islam in its pure form when Sharia takes over and Muhammad’s Islam rears its ugly head.

I didn’t say there were “good” Muslims….perhaps ignorant Muslims or Muslims by accident of birth who identify themselves as Muslims because of heritage but have no clue about the evils of Muhammad (or don’t want to know) or what’s in the Quran. There are “Muslims” who may even consider themselves “atheists” but call themselves Muslim if you can believe that. They are just as deluded as are many non-Muslims w/ the propaganda that terrorists have “hijacked” Islam. (Even McMaster unfortunately thinks that.) They may believe in the Meccan version of Islam before Mo began his reign of terror. I wish these wishy-washy ignorant/deluded “Muslims” renounce Islam in toto…it’s the only civilized thing to do and to stop identifying themselves as Muslim, aka, IslamoNazis.

I thought it was his first wife, Khadija, who was the mastermind manipulator of Mo and convinced Mo that the the spirit that he saw and thought was possessing him was not “jinn” (demon) but Jibreel (holy angel) because only a holy angel would immediately vanish when she exposed her genitals when Mo said he saw the spirit. Since the left has gotten everybody on the bandwagon of “racism” isn’t it time we worked with them and introduce the very discrimination people face under islam. Sure, the Nazis did not discriminate against other Nazis, but the reality is altogether different when dealing with non-Nazis. Let’s take this as an opportunity to show what the intolerance and racism of Islam all over the world. So much so that everywhere there is a significant minority, there are civil wars, and or no – go zones. The man in the photo is not even Hitler! The arm band is that of a Gauleiter. The Fuhrer’s armband was always the plain red white and black, and Hitler never wore medals except for his Iron Cross of which he was very proud. In addition the man has a receding hair line and looks overweight!
If one looks at any photo of Hitler it is obvious that person is not Hitler.
If the judge saw the actual photo he must be either half blind or an idiot.

Are we certain that the Nazi shaking hands with al-Husseini is Hitler? It doesn’t look like Hitler, not from that side view of the Nazi. He has gray hair and looks a little too plump, to judge from other photos of Hitler from the same period (1941). Where is the Hitlerian hair style we’re so accustomed to seeing? This Nazi looks like he had a “buzz cut.” When you compare that photo with one of al-Husseini and Hitler sitting down together it doesn’t jibe with this one.

The EU is the Fourth Reich and Germany is, after all, run by Germans! Germans have been trying to conquer Europe for all of history, since the first barbarians came south to challenge the Roman Empire. Germany started the two World Wars. Any nation that will tolerate this kind of suppression of facts and oppression of citizens is beneath contempt.

The EU may certainly become a caliphate but I said Fourth Reich in all seriousness. The ideological and actual founders of the EU can be traced directly to WWll Nazis. The connection to Islam depicted here is still active in 2017 in the EU’s persecution of Jews and embracing of Jew-hating Islam.

Since I’m not especially looking to change my view in FAVOR of the EU, and certainly can’t afford a book, I probably won’t read the one you suggested. I’ll keep reading “around” the subject but I see Germany as having a generally flawed mindset and a propensity for conquest. The EU has enabled Germany to dominate Europe and THAT is very much in the footsteps of the Reich.

This almost looks like a tipping point for Germany.
