Those cops shoot like the storm troopers in Star Wars. I counted about eleven shots. They need to train them to do the deed. Gone are the days of shooting in the leg when you have muslamists in bomb vests on captagon.
You could be onto something there. The standard worldwide police weapon is a 40 S&W, some still carry 45s. The US military dropped from 30-06 as standard rifle ammo to .223 and from 45 as pistol ammo to 9mm, all in an effort to comply with NATO protocols. F— NATO.
The change from a 30-06 (7.76mm ) which is a nato round wasn’t for nato compliance but to make it easier for the soldiers to pack more ammo. Same with the .45 versus the .40 or 9mm. More rounds per clip. (Many will argue extended magazines but that can apply for more compact ammo also further expanding that number as well.) As much as they’d like their troops and officers to all be excellent marksmen they realize that a heated exchange in a live situation is quite different from static or even dynamic targets on a range. People are going to miss. Hence more rounds equals more opportunities for a hit.
A 9mm has plenty of stopping power against an idiot in a T shirt. If you hit him.

Absolutely. The M60 is not your typical 30.06. to begin with. the head spacing is different on NATO rounds to begin with. but that is a side point. typical 30.06 hunting rifles have no buffer mechanisms to absorb recoil and stock position is typically lower causing more rise when trying to fire rapidly. All modern automatic fire military weapons take this flaw into consideration. Combined with buffer springs and pistons to absorb recoil and exotic materials in the receiver, stock, grips, etc.. It is a manageable weight. While bipod position is a preferred position for full auto fire it is also fire able from the hip as a slung position or from shoulder position for limited periods. Or if your Stallone or Schwarzenegger grab a pair and muscle up. (Seriously that usage is ridiculous and near impossible.) As it’s intended purpose is sustained suppressive fire and full auto it’s not like your using it as a sniper rifle so accuracy is more of a subjective term. Anyone (Capable of holding it.) can move the spray across an area to hit a target. It’s actually quite manageable as well as reliable and was one of my favorites in the army. The US military also uses this same round (Sort of.) in many of their sniper rifles (Especially Marines.) quite impressively but those weapons systems are different animals all together.

The US military provides many opportunities as well as training and massive support structures (Army, Navy, Marines.) for the use of many wonderful weapons systems. All you have to do is enlist. But make sure that’s what you want to do.

Agreed. I made my customary visit to the practice range yesterday and did the old Mozambique drill, two body shots and a head shot in case of body armor, all with a 40 S&W.
At least they fire their guns! The cops in the U.S. now only shoot video and apologize later for not getting involved for fear of injury! But if you and I defend ourselves, when attacked, they will arrest you or I!

That’s why I prefer a 45 and or a 357, maybe a 10mm, and NOT a 9mm. He’s probably full of holes, maybe on drugs, 9mm’s just aren’t enough unless you can get them with a head shot the first time. Terrorists need to be killed with the first shot. Otherwise, they have time to push buttons and or shoot back.

Shooting a maniac with a 9mm just isn’t enough. They probably hit him every time. And, it’s not as easy to hit a moving target with a pistol even at that close range as you might think. That’s why they need shotguns.
I guarded a Mexican drug dealer one time who’d been hit only once with about 20 feds shooting at him.

Who is the idiot running around in shorts and flip flops, generally to the left of the video frame? Does he think the cops don’t see the guy they are shooting at? At one point, he seems to be interfering with one of the officers firing.
At lot of people hopped up on drugs can take multiple rounds, center mass, and stay on their feet for minutes. The myth of “one shot, one kill” with pistols is largely a myth.
Plus hitting a moving target at 20 to 30 feet is not as easy as you may think.

This is now the modus operandi of jihadists – to smirk, or smile, while carrying out an attack against a crowd of people. Jihadists have reportedly been seen smiling as they burst onto the scene and start randomly shooting into a crowd of innocent customers in a restaurant or concert venue. Yes, those are all Old Testament references; NOT the New Testament Teachings of Isa’ (Jesus) whom Muslims claim that they respect and revere.
The Old Testament laws of Moses are what Sharia Law is derived from and it was the New Covenant between God and Man that Jesus taught when He said that the two Greatest Laws to follow are: Love God with all your heart and Love Your Neighbor. If all people just followed those two commandments there would be no more jihad, holy wars, hatred, prejudice, murder, prejudice, slavery, etc.

Isa (Jesus) fulfilled ALL the Required Laws of Obedience to God, something that no other person can ever do. Even Islamic theology teaches that Isa (Jesus) lived a perfect life. In other words, through faith in Isa (Jesus) God sees you as being forgiven because Isa allowed Himself to be crucified as the sinless Lamb of God whose Atoning Blood was accepted for the forgiveness of the sins of all who place faith in Him. Islam teaches that Isa was not crucified and that is why they continue to sacrifice animals (goats) to Allah. But, God said that He does not want the sacrifice of animals, He wants the sincere desire of the heart of man to do good and trust in Him alone. Isa was the acceptable sacrifice and was a pre-ordained event in the example of when Abraham was going to sacrifice Ishmael/Isaac. Instead, God provided a lamb for the substitute. That is what Isa did, sacrificed His Life willingly and had the power of Resurrection where He will one day return to bring God’s Peace on earth.
Isa (Jesus) asked God to forgive those who had Him crucified because they really did not know what they were doing? They called Isa (Jesus) a blasphemer and false prophet and ordered to have him killed as prescribed under the Mosaic Laws. Same as Islam today will kill a blasphemer. Isa (Jesus) stopped the stoning of a woman caught in adultery and told the crowd that anyone without sin go ahead and cast a stone. No one could and they walked away. Isa (Jesus) forgave the woman. Yet, today in a Muslim nation, such women and men are still stoned to death.
John 12:26-28

The religious leaders controlled people through having to observe all sorts of rituals, canned prayers, sacrifices, and observances of the moon for “holy days.” Isa (Jesus) basically told them that all that was being done for show by the religious leaders and the people while their heart was far from God. That is true in today’s religions. They each demand certain religious rituals of the people along with taking their money. When Isa (Jesus) called out the religious leaders about that, the religious leaders got angry for being exposed. For example:
“This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.” (Matthew 15:8-9)
“For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.” (Mark 7:8)
and God’s Word given to the Prophet Isaiah:
“Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.”
(Isaiah 1:14-15)
