MPP Peter Milczyn, Etobicoke-Lakeshore

Lord We pray for Peter as a very sincere, hardworking member of the government. We pray for grace and integrity in his service. We bless him and his family to be who You desire them to be and keep them in peace and keep them in good health to continue to serve You and their country.

Peter Milczyn was first elected to the Ontario Legislature in 2014 as the MPP for Etobicoke-Lakeshore.
Milczyn currently serves as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Labour, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Infrastructure, and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister responsible for Francophone Affairs. He also serves as the Chair of Toronto and Francophone Caucuses and as the Chair of the Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs.
Milczyn was born in Etobicoke, grew up in Mimico and attended Etobicoke Collegiate Institute. He went on to graduate from the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Architecture in 1989, and soon founded PZM Design. His interest in urban planning led him into politics. He was first elected in 1994, as a Councillor in the former City of Etobicoke. Following the Amalgamation of the City of Toronto, he was consistently  re-elected to represent Ward 5 (Etobicoke-Lakeshore) on Toronto City Council, from 2000-2014—making for an incredible 17-year career in municipal politics.
Milczyn has been a staunch advocate for his community. He has been a vocal champion for the expansion of public transit, planning reform and the provision of affordable housing for families in Etobicoke-Lakeshore and across Ontario.
His experience and knowledge in the area of responsible city building, fiscally responsible, efficient government, and urban planning led to the introduction of MPP Milczyn’s Private Member’s Bill 39. The Bill aims to restore local decision making and provide municipalities with the tools to generate more affordable housing in partnership with the province.
Milczyn is fluent in Polish, Italian and French and has deep roots in Etobicoke-Lakeshore. He is proud to be raising his daughter, Ariana, in Etobicoke with his wife, Rose.
