WaPo, NYT Reporters Didn’t Want to Cover Clinton-Lynch Tarmac Meeting

Story continues below advertisementNewly released emails show reporters telling the Obama Department of Justice that they were unenthusiastic about covering the tarmac meeting between former President Bill Clinton and then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch during the 2016 campaign.
Clinton and Lynch met privately aboard Lynch’s plane at a Phoenix airport in June 2016. Critics charged that the meeting was inappropriate given that Lynch’s Department of Justice was actively investigating Hillary Clinton for her use of an unsecured private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.
Emails obtained by the American Center for Law and Justice show that reporters at the New York Times and the Washington Post told the Department of Justice’s director of public affairs at the time, Melanie Newman, that while they were writing stories on the controversy, their editors were making them do it.
“My editors are still pretty interested in it and I’m hoping to put it to rest by answering just a few more questions about how the meeting came about-who approached who, how did they realize they were in the same place,” the Post‘s Matt Zapotosky wrote on June 30, 2016, two days after the tarmac meeting.
In another email from the same day, the Times‘ Mark Landler introduced himself and said he had “been pressed into service” to write about the meeting.
Newman also indicated in an email that she had spoken to an ABC producer, who decided not to run with the story. She wrote that the producer said “they aren’t interested, even if FOX runs with it.”

Of course they didn’t because Clinton and Lynch are Democrats! Don’t you know they can do no wrong. It makes me sick how they’d be all over it if it was the Republicans. Anyone with half a brain knows it had nothing to do with grandchildren. I don’t think Lynch has any children. They were discussing Hillary’s emails and she probably told him not to worry because she wouldn’t prosecute. I’d bet my life on it.

Do nit forget lynch told Comey to call CLinton subject a ” matter” not an “investigation.” Plus Comey felt pressured but took no notes. Also no notes if FBI interviewing Hillary. No transcript, PERIOD. Anyone with intelligence knows the fix was in. That is why Comey looked foolish after laying out all of hillarys misdeeds and then saying she did not commit a crime.
TRump did nothing wrong and special proscutornandbfriend of Comey with Democrat and Hillary lovers are looking to skewer Republicans and Trump. Yet they have nothing.

After having spent almost 50 years living and working in a “people republic”, democrat controlled, city/county, it’s readily apparent how these type of things go on. When you’re “in”, and the media likes you, you’d swear you’re living in “Eden”. Once “they” (the media) turn on you, you’re done. It comes as no surprise that the propaganda wing of the dem party would suppress any news that might put their chosen people in a bad light.
