Unlike President Obama, who aided and abetted the Islamic State, President Trump is vanquishing the enemy. Clearly it’s easier to dispatch the Islamic menace in Iraq and Syria than it is in the beltway, the media and academia. But they must vanquished here, too.
US Envoy: Trump’s Policies Have ‘Dramatically Accelerated Progress’ Against ISIS

President Donald Trump called attention Saturday to major gains U.S.-backed forces have made against ISIS, citing claims by a top American diplomat that the administration’s polices are directly responsible for that success.
Brett McGurk, the Department of State’s senior envoy to the anti-Islamic State coalition, said Friday that Trump’s policies, including delegating decision-making to U.S. military commanders in the field, have “dramatically accelerated progress” against the militant group.
About a third of territory captured from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria since 2014 has been taken in the past six months, according to McGurk.
Trump publicized that assessment on Twitter, sharing The Washington Post’s story headlined, “Under Trump, gains against ISIS have ‘dramatically accelerated.’”

McGurk told reporters Friday that ISIS losses in Iraq and Syria add up to about 27,000 square miles of territory from the group’s peak holdings in 2015. About 8,000 square miles of that territory have been retaken under Trump, he said.
The anti-ISIS envoy said delegating authority to commanders in theater has allowed U.S. forces to be more responsive to changing conditions on the ground. The administration’s “campaign of annihilation” — promoted by Defense Secretary James Mattis — has put U.S.-backed forces on the verge of victory in Raqqa, the principal ISIS stronghold in Syria. McGurk said Friday he expects that 2,000 militants “most likely will die in Raqqa.”
McGurk, who was envoy to the anti-ISIS coalition during the Obama administration, said Trump’s polices have also lead to progress on the humanitarian front. The displacement of civilians in Syria and Iraq has nearly stopped, and hundreds of thousands of previously displaced people have been able to return to their homes in territory once controlled by ISIS, McGurk said.

I do hope that NO IS prisoners were taken and that ALL were killed. Rehabilitation of jihadist is a an abject failure as is gaoling them. The only sure way to stop a jihadist is to kill him.

If this article speaks the truth, it is the kind of news that we all should be rejoicing over. This kind of news will dramatically impact against the Trump haters in the media and in the swamp, and might get this country to begin accepting this new thinking president/leader and his approach to governing. He recognizes that wars and all issues are “fought” to be won, and ISIS has declared war on our free world societies. When the media accepts that approach and rejects “political correctness” and refusal to recognize that critics of the concept of Jihad are speaking correctly and with reasonable authority, maybe we can save this nation from radical Islam. It is that simple, and that difficult.

Well … we wouldn’t have to ‘take back’ that territory if Bam Bam hadn’t handed it to them on a silver platter in the first place … Of course, he could not have had that opportunity if it hadn’t been handed to him.
Not to forget … Bush was warned not to let Iraq and Afghanistan become another Vietnam … and he decided to flush our money and people down the toilet anyway without any plan to protect the minorities from the dominant Muzziemonsters. Anyone old enough to remember what the Vietnam Vets told us about how their war was one of deliberate failure knew the Bush plan would lead directly to a Demokkkratic plan to turn the situation into Vietnam.
Bam Bam should go to trial for War Crimes for what he did to Iraq’s minorities, and Bush should go to as an accessory who set it up.

Of course! Trump is letting the military make the important decisions which only makes sense. Obama wasn’t serious about destroying ISIS. He was more interested in giving lots of money to Iran and letting in loads of Muslims without proper vetting. Why wasn’t he letting in Christians that were being tortured and slaughtered. Look at the numbers. That says it all!
