In Surprise Twist, Iraqis Declare Support for Israel Over Temple Mount

TEL AVIV – Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Arabic-language spokesperson on Sunday said he had received several messages of support from Iraqi citizens during the recent Palestinian uprising over the Temple Mount.

by Deborah Danan, Breitbart, 31 Jul 2017:

“I received quite a few messages of support for Israel from Iraqis who condemned Palestinian terrorism b/c they suffered from it as well,” Ofir Gendelman tweeted.

The tweet was accompanied by photos of the messages of support in Arabic alongside Iraqi passports.

Gendelman also expressed his “thanks and greetings” in Arabic to the Iraqis who sent the solidarity messages.

Palestinian terror groups received financial aid and operational assistance from Baghdad during Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship in the 1970s and ’80s. Among others, the Iraqis financed the Black September group, which carried out the Munich massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics, and the Fatah Revolutionary Council of Abu Nidal, which killed six people and injured a further 22 at a shootout in a kosher Parisian restaurant a decade later, documents found by U.S. troops in Baghdad in 2003 showed.

In a precursor to the Palestinian Authority’s current Pay-for-Slay program, the Iraqis also paid salaries to the families of suicide bombers and other terrorists, the Algemeiner reported.

According to the report, since the overthrow of the Baathist regime in 2003, many Iraqis view the Palestinian community with mistrust.

Writing in 2015, Palestinian journalist Khaled Abu Toameh wrote about the mistreatment of Palestinians in Arab countries.

“Not only do the Arab countries despise the Palestinians, they also want them to be the problem of Israel alone,” Abu Toameh wrote. “That is why, since 1948, Arab governments have refused to allow Palestinians permanently to settle in their countries and become equal citizens.”

If he (Netanyahu) counts on them as sign of growing support, he will be disappointed and never live long enough to see that support numbers from Arab world to grow above minuscule nothing.

These are probably a few Shia Iraqis who think of Israel as “the enemy of my enemy is not my enemy (at least not at this time!)”

This apply also to Saudi Arabia. Israel and Saudis have the same enemy Iran. Once they setle their differences, they will unite against Israel.

This is rubbish. Even if there is truth in any of these “documents of support,” they are meaningless nonsense. I can only hope that Netanyahu and Israel’s leaders do not take the so-called support seriously. They need defensible borders. they need to control all the areas within their country, including the Mosque on the mount. The Israeli’s will do a much better job of protecting the Mosque from those who would “pray” there, and will never knowingly allow anyone to destroy it, as has been the case with the Islamists who destroy the religious edifices of other belief systems.

What exactly is the difference between an “islamist” and a muslum? Do they hold different books to be holey? Is the prophet Muhammad not held to be the perfect example for all mankind to follow?
If there are “islamists” why can’t there be nazists?

“Muslim” in English is spelled this way. You obviously do not recognize that I am referring to those radical Muslim’s when I refer above to the Islamists. Straighten out your thinking and face reality, and maybe you will be able to see the “light” of reasonable thinking. If you believe that Mohammad promoted the writings which are used by the radical Islamists to justify the abhorrent conduct that they use to justify their terror, you should begin to rethink your attitude about this man that the Islamist’s, whether radical or moderate, claim is their prophet. The unending hate that has become the basis for Islam is not that of a Deity or that Deities prophets who promotes love and good consciousness. Those people who carry their beliefs to the level of death to non-believers are a curse on this planet, and you apparently cannot see that or you are a radical.

You’re delusional. Why don’t you move to a muslum state, any muslum state and tell me which ones aren’t “radical”. Try publicly criticising islum from within the confines of any muslum state — put your money where your mouth is, instead of talking thru your a$$.

Merely a display of contempt for iran, by iraq showing that it dislikes Israel less.

It seems we, victims and eternally potential victims, understand islam better than most of the world’s leaders.

World leaders, muslim, communist, democratic or whatever have an elitist attitude that they the chosen ones are better than the great unwashed. That is why it is necessary to keep well armed, organized and make sure every government fears its citizens a little bit, never should a people fear their government.
