2 Individuals appointed to Executive Leadership Team of Bahamas Primary School Student of The Year Foundation

The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation has confirmed the appointments of Mrs. CC LaFleur and Mr. Andre A. Moss to the Foundation’s Executive Leadership Team following voting at its June 29th Extra Ordinary General Meeting.

Mr. Vandyke Pratt, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation advised that Mrs. CC LaFleur was confirmed as the Foundation’s Vice-President of Communications and Mr. Andre A. Moss was confirmed as the Assistant Vice-President of Logistics. The appointments were made to strengthen the leadership team.

MEET THE NEW EXECUTIVES:

Mrs. CC LaFleur is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is the Past President of the Eta Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  She is a Founding Director and Former Vice-President of Finance for The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation. She is Magna Cum Laude graduate of Florida A&M University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. Mrs. LaFleur has a professional license in Human Resources and has been in that field for over 20 years, she is currently employed with a major Healthcare company as a Employee Relations Manager. Mrs. LaFleur has resided in New Providence for the past 18 years having relocated from Atlanta, GA. She is married to Pierre LaFleur they have two sons: Pierce and Seth LaFleur.


Mr.  André A. Moss is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He served as Past Chapter Vice-President of the Iota Epsilon Lambda Chapter (Nassau, Bahamas) of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. He is a Life Member and in 2009, he was the second Bahamian appointed to serve at the International level of the Fraternity as Chairman International Affairs. He is employed as the the Maintenance Manager at Sun Oil Limited. He is a Founding Director and Treasurer of The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation. He is a 1994 graduate of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University with a B. Sc. Chemical Engineering. He is married to Gillian A. Moss (formerly Dillet) and they are the proud parents of two sons - André Alexander Moss II and Ajani Anthony Moss.

About The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation

The Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Foundation was incorporated under The Companies Act of 1992 of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas in June 2004, as a fully registered non-profit foundation. The Foundation was given birth through the Nassau, Bahamas Council of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. It is an autonomous, non-profit educational entity dedicated exclusively to public, charitable, and educational purposes of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards Program. The Foundation oversees the administration of the Bahamas Primary School Student of the Year Awards which was established in 1997. Since the inception of the Awards Program, there have been over 2,100 nominees who have participated in the Awards Program and more than $1.2 MILLION DOLLARS awarded in scholarships and prizes to outstanding 6th grade students in the Bahamian educational system.
