Love letters on an open thread

8

Here’s a love letter straight from my heart on a Friday night open thread.

Ketty Lester, Love Letters
In 1961, Ketty released her first single, “I’m a Fool to Want You.” Radio listeners and disc jockeys and I preferred the B-side, a reworking of a 1945 hit by Dick Haymes, “Love Letters.” Lester’s cover which features Lincoln Mayorga’s spare, haunting piano arrangement and Earl Palmer on drums.

Enjoy.

The Truth Must be Told

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.

That song goes perfectly with that photo of you at the wine table. I can imagine it playing softly in the background.

Gee, I thought you were going to offer us the movie Love Letters with the screenplay written by Ayn Rand. A 1945 film with Jennifer Jones and Joseph Cotten.

Thank you so much Ms. Geller. Very thoughtful of you. Here’s Nessum Darma, covered by David Phelps, a Christian artist. I don’t know what he is saying I just love the performance. I hope you like it.
May you continue to Conquer and Overcome in the name of Jesus The Christ. Amen.
Undying Gratitude for the info you give us.
