I’ve been testing out various waterproof eye make up removers and the two that came out best were YSL and Chanel. And by best, I mean that these oil/water mixes can often leave your eyes filmy which, if you’re like me and sometimes do a sofa cleanse while watching TV, is very annoying! Plus, my favourite mascara at the moment is the Dior Pump N Volume (HERE) which lays down a lot of very, very pigmented product. If I don’t want panda eyes the next morning, I do have to put in the extra effort in cleaning. Actually, I’m obsessed with it – it’s literally the best mascara I’ve ever used. Don’t buy it unless you want a new addiction!
You need to give it a good shake before use – so it turns opaque from clear (in the top pic), soak a cotton pad and press it to your lashes before sweeping product away. Don’t rub it too hard.. lashes are delicate little things and like to leave your lids at any easy opportunity! There isn’t a huge amount of choice when it comes to biphase make up removers (Vichy has one, I am sure), but this one is fine for lense wearers. I’ve also used it on lip stains but the nature of those is that they are supposed to be hard to remove, so it does require the extra effort. Anyway, the YSL Biphase Make Up Remover is £22.50 HERE.

How would you say this compares to the Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover (a blue biphase one)? I’m nearing the end of mine and don’t know whether to branch out!
Did you try the LRP Respectissime? It’s really light, non oily and very effective. Not to mention half the price.
I really like the Clarins Bi-Phase one, and the Lancome Bi-Facil too!
Try nivea daily essentials dual eye make up remover – really affordable and does a fantastic job of removing waterproof mascara and normal mascara.
Wonder if you’ve tried Lancome’s BiFacil which has been around for years and always seems to be touted as ‘the best’. Is that one of the ones that leaves your eyes filmy? Presumably this YSL one doesn’t … ?
It didn’t leave my eyes at all filmy but have to say that I usually ‘belt and brace’ with a micellar too.
Guys!
Save yourself a small fortune and try Botanics All Bright Soothing Eye Make Up Remover
It’s £2.50 and often on 3 for 2!!! In my opinion it’s better than the YSL.
Waterproof make up glides off and I wear a lot of make up every day.
