I collect all sorts of fun stuff at the various shows and events I attend around the world every year but I also live in a relatively small apartment and cannot possibly keep all of it. Plus, giving it away to others is a lot of fun. And so, once again, it is time to pick 30+ lucky readers and share the goodies. Prizes range from notebooks and hats and bags to model planes (Qatar Airways 787 1:200 scale is the best in that category this time around) and business class amenity kits and more.

And, as always, I really have no idea what is in each box. I stuffed them and sealed them without much care for tracking what’s inside and winners will get an address labels stuck on one randomly and it’ll send out at the end of the week; winners to be picked throughout the week and no later than Friday.

  1. My favorite travel trinket memory is winning in one of the last ones and getting a pair of headphones that I absolutely loved and still use to this day.

  2. My favorite travel trinket memory is a Lufthansa FCT’s (First Class Terminal) yellow rubber duck 🙂

  3. My favourite travel memory is my second time going TA, with Aer Lingus from Dublin – Boston. The flight was half empty, as there was a storm that had ended a bit early and people weren’t sure if the flight would go ahead.

I ended up lying in a 4 seat row for the flight, reading and watching movies my mother didn’t want me watching (I was 14!)

  4. I’m feeling lucky to have a small tumi travel case that I use as a travel first aid kit! Thanks for doing this Seth!

  5. Always love these little trinkets when traveling!! Got excited looking at the pic as they’re a reminder of my love for travel. Hehe

  6. Awesome giveaway. I saved everything from cutleries to my kids meal box from my first longhaul flight from back in the 80s on a Singapore Airlines B743 BigTop

  7. My fav travel memory will probably be in a month when I’m finally flying the Etihad Apartments!

  8. Favorite memory is opening my box of unused amaentity kits. Haha. Each one reminds me of a good trip. Planning to donate them to a shelter sometime this year

  9. My favorite travel trinket memory was the economy “amenity kit” I got on my Delta flight to TLV. Having some ear plugs really made it easier to sleep.

  10. Love the amenity kits and trinkets! I’ve been known to use a couple of the kits as makeshift pillows in a pinch.

  11. Yayyyyy! I am a sucker for amenities kits – I love when I find new products because of them (Air France has the most heavenly hand cream…)

  12. I hope to score some cool swag. I remember the first time I got a dopp kit with stuff as a kid flying to Europe. It was so cool, so many passengers just left them in 1st class, that I took 2 of them. I used those guys for several years!

  13. My favorite travel trinket memory is actually getting the Lufthansa Frankfurt station remove from flight tag which I actually use as a zipper pull for my travel backpack.

  14. My favorite trinket is actually one that my kids received – a plane shaped etch a sketch toy from Korean Air. They still play with it after many years!

  15. i helped a minor medical emergency and the crew brought me a first class meal and amenity kit to say thanks

  16. Pretty sure I need a teddy bear to look like an adult child needing some comfort in these trying times…

  17. I loved when my kids got their first “wings.” I never traveled as a child and I was happy to be able to give them the gift of travel.

  18. I can’t remember any travel trinkets 🙁 I haven’t gone too many places. But I always get a mortar and pestle when I go somewhere.

  19. My favorite travel trinket memory was a pair of earplugs I got on Lufthansa on the way to Germany. I put them in my pocket and was lucky enough to remember them when chaperoning my sons’ Rec night at the Middle School! Awful music was turned up way too high and the earplugs were a lifesaver!

  20. I would love, love, love the Polaris bear. I think Steve already mentioned that to you, maybe in Teh Box.

  21. Before departing Easter island, my host ran into a gift shop and gave me a shell necklace to remember the trip

  22. My boyfriend just built new shelves for my model planes, and I just flew QR for the first time yesterday – so fingers crossed!

  23. Fave travel trinket… KLM House or Freddie Jr back in the day…
    Thanks for doing this Seth!

  24. I’m generally a bigger fan of photos from trips than I am of trinkets, but there is something to be said for bringing home local crafts found at tiny little roadside stands far from most tourists. My personal favorite is the hand carved slate bowl from a small Mayan village in Belize.

  25. My favorite travel trinkets are generally amenity kits! The content doesn’t vary too much but the bags themselves are usually pretty cute!

  26. My fave travel trinkets are mugs! I like to remember where I have been every time I have a cup of coffee! Pretty and useful!

  27. I’d love to put my hat in the ring for the Polaris bear. Of course it will go directly to Laura…happy wife, happy life!

    Thanks Seth!

  28. My favorite travel trinket is a small stuffed koala bear that I bought as a souvenir when I visited Australia.

  29. The model or plush toys would be cool to get…. Have you ever considered donating new/unopened amenity kits to your local homeless shelter?

  30. My favorite trinkets are model airplanes I’ve received as trinkets when flying as a child. You can definitely tell my I’ve had my Finnair MD-11 the longest of any model I own.

  31. I remember getting an airline pin after being flustered from not being able to get out of an airline bathroom as a 5-year-old kid. Though I don’t have it today, it was my first swag!

  32. Since it is likely that I will never be able to travel first class, it would fun to at least get a first class amenity kit….. That’s probably as close as I’ll get to a First Class experience.

  33. I won something last year I hope I can win once more. I love this blog it’s a joy to read.

  34. I have a handful of travel trinkets that I’ve gotten myself. But the most memorable two are those that I got from my nana (who’s since passed). She loved cruising, and got me one of those hand drums on one trip and a hanging pirate head on another trip. Both have very cherished places in my home, and remind me of her.

  35. My travel trinket memory is when my son was young the gal behind the desk at Hilton DT Atlanta gave him a tin of chocolate chip cookies, not the one cookie. He and I loved our DT bonus and split those cookies. In fact I just reminded him about this event and he smiled.:)

  36. I try to get something everywhere I go, so when I’m cleaning the house, I get happy memories of holidays. Makes cleaning much more enjoyable!

  37. What a wonderfully fun and generous thing to do! I’d be happy with any of those things-they all look good.

  38. As always, thanks for your generosity. My 4 yr old loves to color and draw, so amenity kits become pencil/crayon pouches… until something spills or they get really grubby. Happy with anything, really.

  39. My favorite travel trinket memory is a Rimowa first class amenity kit from Thai Airways

  40. so many memories – one of my favorites is the stuffed baby alligators my brothers bought in Malaysia in the 70s……and the bamboo container that unknown to us had a knife inside…..

  41. My favorite travel trinket memory is when I got a complimentary emergency toiletry kit from SW Airlines, because my baggage was late. I still wear the shirt that came with it.

  42. I’ve got two young kids who love the trinket stuff. My son still plays with a British Airways 777 model that I got him years ago even though one of the engines has fallen off. (It’s now part of the narrative)

  43. Travel trinkets are fun to reminisce about where I found them & how much fun I had at the time. I have plastic pilot wings & a shot glass from my fun trip to Mexico when the pilots actually came out of the cockpit & made jokes (they came out one at a time…lol) & the drinks on the plane came in real shot glasses. 🙂

  44. Unfortunately, I’ve never traveled anywhere except florida, but we did bring back fresh coconuts–corny I know.

  45. thanks for the wonderful chance I have a mickey mouse keychain that I have had for 38 years.
