1. Use Glad Press’n Seal to keep your jewelry organized and protected while traveling.
2. Use an empty mint container as a compact travel case for small jewelry storage.
3. String a dainty necklace through a paper straw to keep the chain from knotting and tangling.
4. Fasten a pair of earrings through the holes of a button before tossing them in your bag.
This little trick will keep the pair together and prevent one stud from getting lost in the shuffle.
5. Pack clothes that wrinkle easily inside a dry-cleaning bag to prevent creases.
Place the item flat inside the bag, then fold as normal.
6. Bundle your clothes instead of rolling or folding them—this not only saves space, but also minimizes folds that cause major wrinkles.
7. Tuck your underwear inside a bra to help the cups maintain their form.
8. Use the cloth bags that come with new purses or shoes to store delicates.
Once you’ve arrived at your destination, use them to store dirty laundry and to keep clean items separated.
9. Place a pair of shoes sole-side down inside a shower cap to protect the rest of your clothes from the dirt and grossness.
10. Protect breakables by slipping them inside a sock for extra padding.
11. Instead of packing bulky products, save space by transferring lotions and creams to small contact-lens cases.
12. To prevent liquids from bursting and ruining everything else in your bag (and your day), place a small square of Glad Press’n Seal between the bottle and the cap.
Unscrew the lid, tightly wrap the cover over the opening, then screw the lid back on.
13. Place cotton balls and cotton pads inside pressed-powder compacts to prevent the product from crumbling due to your suitcase being tossed around.
14. Wrap flat irons and curling wands in a potholder for heat protection.
Tuck the cord inside the hand pocket, then lay the hot tool on top of the potholder, and wrap it tightly. Secure it with a hair tie or elastic headband.
15. Use a sunglasses case to store cords, earbuds, and chargers, and to prevent annoying tangles.
16. To maintain the shape of a large hat while traveling, stuff the crown with socks, scarves, and other small items, then place the accessory flat at the bottom of your suitcase.
Continue packing your things on top of the brim.
