Alcohol inks are yet another excellent way to add color to jewelry projects. Check out the marbled washer pendant tutorial by Allison (of Dream a Litter Bigger) over on Momspark . She makes it look so easy to get that water color look to what are hardware store washers. Don't they look stunning?

Alcohol inks can be used on a variety of surfaces - glossy paper, wood, shrink plastic, metal, glass and so on. They are fade resistant. There is a special blending solution for lightening colors and for cleanup. I would try using isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) first as it is readily available from the drugstore.
Alcohol inks give a different look when compared to another craft favorite - Gilder's Paste.
