I generally use pretty delicate beads, but I'd love to try something more bold; I particularly like the way you've made big chunky wire coils for the blue necklace- for me, they add a really strong tribal feel.
Omigosh! These are amazingly beautiful & I love the jewelry you created with them. My mind is spinning with all the possibilities using these components.
I have been a subscriber to your blog for quite a while & follow you on Facebook. Thanks for all the hard work you put into it.
Yes! All of these very lovely components. I am especially attracted to the long pave tube beads, but do wonder about how long the crystals will stay in place-obviously I have crystals fall out/off of beads. I will be going to this store to check it out. The 2 necklaces shown are very attractive in their choice of colours. Thank you for a chance to win some lovely beads.-patricia@savage.ca

I don't know how you continue to come up with such interesting items. Congratulatins. If I need to give you more compliments to win the giveaway, let me know. Just kidding - your blogs are always the first item I open every day.
I really like what you did with the samples they sent you Pearl. And learning from failure is a hard road and one I absolutely hate too (many lashes across the back)!
Your earrings - and the link to making the elven earwires are wonderful - thank you!
I too can't express enough how grateful I am for the many things I have learned from you on a daily basis!
And I am going to search out House of Gem's right away!
Put my name in again - I'm always game to play as you know -
Would love to enter this giveaway! I think the necklace you made is exquisite! So going to check out their site! (dannylions@comcast.net) Thanks! Sue O'Mullan

I would love to win this prize package. I have just begun beading again after a year and a half lapse. So much has kept me away from my favourite past-time. I am so happy to be able to pick up where I left off. I love creating my own designs and learning from others in the journal.
I am a new subscriber and look forward to your blog post every day, since I'm fairly new to jewelry making and loving it, I have learned so much already. Would love to win this selection, as everyone else would:) The purple necklace is beautiful.
Hello Beading Gem, I look forward to your blog every time it comes in. I have learned of many shops and places to get beads. So I would like to thank you for all the inspiration and ideas that are possible just from using beads.
I would love to win this gift certificate. And like a lot of other people who have commented. I also am going to check out "House of Gems" now.
Keep up the great work. I appreciate your blog. :)

I always look forward to receiving your posts in my email! I am a follower of your blog and facebook page as well and I throughly enjoy your blog! What a great giveaway!
Just found this site for jewelry supplies going to ck it out. Been making jewelry for 4 years and not familiar with a lot of suppliers of beads etc. love the necklaces thanks for chance to win. Contact peggywhiz@ cableone.net

I first learned of House of Gems when I stumbled on a tutorial that they were sharing on Slideshare. They are a 28 year old California based jewelry supply company which prides itself with offering products at wholesale prices. They accomplish this by eliminating the middlemen and sourcing directly from manufacturers. Since 2009, they are entirely an online business.
They sent me some supplies from their pave selection for review. Anyone who loves bling will love pave beads as the crystals are set close to each other for the uber effect! I especially love the pave tubes because they make good focals for necklaces.
I must confess many of my initial ideas fail. It is actually good to fail because the attempt is a learning experience and on trying again, the design path becomes clearer.
I thought the wonderful delicate but strong stainless steel chain would work to string the components as it was fine enough to pass through the holes. Metal beads on either side of the pave tube would help center it. But it all seemed so ordinary and not enough pizazz for this beautiful focal. So the stainless steel chain will have to wait for a future design!
In the end what I did was to make some wire coils and deliberately curved them. This made the necklace better fit the curve of the neck and looked cool too!
I had originally planned to use the crystals I received for the spool knitted wire portion of the gold pave necklace. But when I started playing with them, I decided on other more gold tone glass seed beads.
I made just simple dangles with the small gold pave crystals but added brass elven or elvish ear wires. Doing something different with part of the design makes it unique.
Note that " House of Gems imports from all over the world, but 95% of the chains and findings are made in the United States. In an effort to reward customers, House of Gems has a Frequent Buyers' Discount program in place that begins accumulating from your very first purchase and is automatically implemented by the site itself. There are also quantity discounts in place and they offer a lot of other promotional coupons via our Social Media sites."
