I love the look of this necklace. It's elegant and yet could be easily worn with casual clothing such as jeans and a nice t-shirt. Also the tutorial makes it look relatively simple to construct. Of course I have had some of those relatively simple projects turn into disasters - but then I'm gifted that way. :D

Statement necklaces needn't be hard to make. Russian beader, Elena MalTseva created this gorgeous multicord bead wrapped necklace tutorial and shared the video tutorial.

The tutorial is in Russian text. Unfortunately, there is no CC (close caption) for translation. Fortunately, you don't need to understand any Russian. Her steps are very clear. Just use any thin cord you have. I would use 24G, 22G or 20G wire for beaded wire wrapping. 20G to do the clasp bit. Bead types and colors are up to you!

Pearl,
What type of cord do you think she used? Very pretty in the pictures. I am not as familiar with cording.

I'm not really sure. It looks a little like hemp. I personally prefer satin cord like rat tail. Soft to wear.
