CBO will publish a summary of its annual Budget and Economic Outlook report at 11 a.m. today on the agency’s website. CBO typically releases its updated budget and economic projections in late January but is releasing the summary of the report early this year to aid the Congress in its work on the 2017 budget resolution.

The brief summary will include updated budget and economic projections spanning the period from 2016 to 2026, but will not include the extensive discussion of those projections that is included in the full report. The complete report, including detailed tables and supplemental data, will be released next week on Monday, January 25, at 2 p.m. on the agency’s website. When the full report is released, CBO will be able to discuss its projections in more detail.

CBO’s most recent economic and budget projections can be found in An Update to the Budget and Economic Outlook: 2015 to 2025, which was released last August.

Deborah Kilroe is CBO’s Associate Director for Communications.
