Islamic attack near iconic Saint Catherine’s monastery in Egypt kills one, injures four

I am sure the Pope will school us, yet again, on how Islam is peace and that there is no violence in the Quran. And that is the islamophobes who are the problem.

AN ATTACK near near Saint Catherine’s monastery in South Sinai, Egypt has killed a police officer and injured four other people.

The attack was targetting security forces and comes days before Pope Francis is due to be visiting the country.

The shooting was carried out by a gunman and happened at a security checkpoint a few hundred metres from the church entrance, according to a security source.

The injured have been taken to Sharm el-Sheikh international hospital for treatment.

No group has claimed responsibility.

The monastery, which is visited by thousands of tourists annually, is one of the oldest working monasteries in the world.The attack comes a week after two bombings on churches claimed by Daesh killed 45 people.Attacks are common in northern Sinai, where an insurgency by Islamist militants has raged for years, but rare in south Sinai.

Pope Francis is due to travel to Egypt later this month to promote better relations between Catholics and Muslims.The Pope has accepted an invitation to visit Cairo from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Roman Catholic bishops, the leader of the Coptic Orthodox church of Alexandria and the grand imam of Al Azhar mosque.

There is no cure for stupid, no matter what muslims do, there will always be apologists for their criminally insane violence.

Maybe if the muslamics kill the pope they’ll get somebody in there that knows how to lead and not wash feet.

I wonder at the outcry when/if Kaaba (Mecca); Quba (Medina) and/or Al Aqsa (Jerusalem) are attacked by non-Muslims?

Dumb assed Pope trying to get along with Muslims. He needs to come out of that walled enclave of his at the Vatican and call for another Crusade to drive these bastards back to the 7th century where they belong.
