Theresa May: “The fight against terrorism and hate speech has to be a joint one”

[the_ad id=”90513″]

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “The fight against terrorism and hate speech has to be a joint one. The government and security services are doing everything they can and it is clear that social media companies can and must do more.

By “hate speech” the egregious May doesn’t mean the hatred against Jews and other kuffar that is preached in mosques. No, she means opposition to jihad terror, which she has long branded as “hate speech,” when she banned me from the country and on other occasions. So when she says “the fight against terrorism and hate speech has to be a joint one,” she is saying that “the fight against jihad and those who oppose jihad is a joint one.” And now she is trying to get social media companies to shut down my colleagues and me.

Story continues below advertisement

“Exclusive: Google and social media companies could be prosecuted if they show extremist videos,” by Christopher Hope and Laura Hughes, Telegraph, March 24, 2017:

Google, Facebook and other internet companies could be prosecuted if they do not stop extremist videos from being seen on their websites by people in Britain, The Daily Telegraph can disclose.

Ministers are considering a new law which would mean Google – which owns YouTube – and other social media sites like Facebook and Twitter can be prosecuted if they allow such videos to be disseminated.

Theresa May, the Prime Minister, made clear her displeasure at internet companies that publish extremist content on Friday, saying “the ball is in their court” over taking action.

Google publicly apologised this week after the growing scandal over extremist videos on YouTube led to a series of companies pulling their adverts from the internet giant.

Google, which owns the video sharing website YouTube, and other social media sites have an agreement to take down extremist content within 24 hours when they are alerted to it.

But ministers are worried that this still allows the videos to be viewed thousands of times before they are taken down.

However ministers in the Home Office are now looking at a new law to force the websites to take down content immediately or face court action.

Officials are trying to work out how the law can be enforced in the UK given that many films that can be seen in the UK are hosted on foreign websites.

One source said: “We want to see them take on their responsibility. The problem with the law is in itself we can do what we can but these are global companies.”

The Home Office’s talks with the internet companies are being led by Baroness Shields, who as Joanna Shields was a former Facebook executive.

The news came as Mrs May’s spokesman said that “social media companies can and must do more”.

The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “The fight against terrorism and hate speech has to be a joint one. The government and security services are doing everything they can and it is clear that social media companies can and must do more.

“Social media companies have a responsibility when it comes to making sure this material is not disseminated and we have been clear repeatedly that we think that they can and must do more. We are always talking with them on how to achieve that

“The ball is now in their court. We will see how they respond.”…

I recall the great Maggie Thatcher wearing a light hair scarf, aboard a British tank. She wore it because she was classy. This old bag, May though, has neither class not patriotism.

Hate speech, like, “Allahu Akbar” ? That is hate speech. It keeps coming up in murder cases around the world.

I think Theresa May would remind you that burning cars, rape, beheading, and bullying are all just protected cultural expression, and that we should all rejoice in “sharing.”. All these people are past being able to see or think.

Yep….the hate speech comes solely from the Sharia desiring Muslims who openly go to parts of London, and call for Sharia and the destruction of kuffars, the UK, USA, Israel, in the name of Allah. But that’s not hate speech is it, Mrs May !!!!

Agree in part. I don’t have a problem with tackling hate speech if it is applied and defined equitably. What is incredible is that surely Britain already has laws that cover harassment, intimidation, incitement to violence, defamation and discrimination, including religious discriminatiion, etc. Surely any other legislation must only serve to silence criticism and create protected classes of citizens. Guess who will be protected!

Absolutely agree. When we saw the likes of Anjem Choudhry and other groups calling for the destruction of specific countries, calling for police to go to Hell etc, this was quite clearly an attempt to incite violence and should have been dealt with, and not overlooked…

Good idea, to have private companies censor content, so government officials don’t have to get their hands dirty by doing it themselves.

Nips, Krauts, Japs, ‘The Hun’, the Jerrys, Commies, Reds…
What was that, Theresa, chopped liver? Humans are not robots, and when the enemy starts killing us in large numbers, we tend to dislike them. We say disparaging things about them. This is unavoidable in times of war. Hate is a waste of energy, but we all do it from time to time.

The tolerance advocated by the Founders had clear limits.

Does Theresa May deny that Islamists have declared war on Britain, and the West?

DemocracyRule #9
All supposed ‘hate speech’ must be universally replaceable and reversible. If it isn’t, then it’s not logical, and there shall be no illogical law. No lawmaker should even dream of writing law that violates deductive logic.

If the sentence, “I don’t like Muslims” is hate speech, then all parallel sentences must also be hate speech. Logic compels that all these statements must also be hate speech:
“I don’t like Christians”
“I don’t like Jews”
“I don’t like Hindus”
“I don’t like Whites”
“I don’t like blonds”
“I don’t like Nazis”
“I don’t like people who like ice cream”
All these statements must be punished equally under hate law.

Logically, hate law must also be reversible. If “I like Nazis” is hate speech, then so is:
“I like Blacks”
“I like Jews”
“I like Muslims”
All these statements must be punished under hate law. Is this not absurd?

DemocracyRules

Furthermore, according to deductive logic, both these two statements are hate speech:
– “I don’t like Nazis”
– “I like Nazis”
and these two are hate speech:
– “I don’t like people who like ice cream”
– “I like people who like ice cream”

Replace the word with any type of human, and both statements are still hate speech.

This isn’t a gender thing. Women can be tougher than men against terrorism. There are lots of women leaders speaking out against islam like Pam, Ann, Marie etc.

Stop Saudi Funding of Mosques, full stop. Forgo lobbying money and business interests.
How badly do western countries need Saudi Money that they are willing to sell out their own nation?

Put camera’s in places of Worship and slam any that preach sedition and anti nationalism.

If they don’t believe in freedom and democracy, don’t allow them to use it to destroy DEMOCRACY in YOUR country.
They hide behind free speech, liberty and democratic ideals all the while despising them because ‘God’ has given them the rule book called the Sha’ria.

That rule book came from the Ummad dynasty, the sworn enemies of their Prophet which they have mindlessly been aping for centuries.

Certify Mullahs, reform any holy book that preaches murder, hatred and anti national rhetoric because if it DOES then it’s a political pamphlet and not a holy book. Geddit?

Sharia May does ALL to appease them.
She even wears head gear to AFFIRM that females are INFERIOR and UNCLEAN. That is what a covered head symbolizes.

May, you need to properly wear it. ONLY the OVAL of the face is allowed to show and NO neck.

Just like the MS media is dishonest and disseminates political claims, often to suppress freedom of speech (censorship). Political phrases are often untruthful and misleading.

If you make it “hate speech” to describe your enemy you will never defeat that enemy because you have already elevated that enemy above your citizens. When speaking ill of Islam is hate speech, Islam has already won the fight for your people by your giving in to their ideas. Know your enemy, identify your enemy and describe your enemy to the people, then they will join in fighting your enemy.

Personally, I did not care for her in the position of PM. She voted remain, did not she? It appears she is a placater, wishes to placate, some. Many of the elected politicians are of the left mind, they wish to silence speech, otherwise known as opposition. They will silence those who are placid, polite, gentle, and who have been dullened over the years by the politically correct agenda meant to squelch opposing views. As is easily noted, they never admonish those groups they fear.
People will have to become informed and vote differently.
Have not the British people ability to stand up for their rights, to speak up? Do try, please try.

Sharia May is monumentally stupid. She is authoritarian, which is why I never trusted her when she was an incompetent Home Secretary for six years. She has no understanding of what islam is about and probably gets her advice from the local branch of the muslim brotherhood which in the UK is the Muslim Council of Britain.

She cannot understand that she can’t combat islamic terror by prohibiting free speech.

So Great Britain is going to start rounding up all Muslims for their hate speech, right. All they do is espouse hate for Jews and Christians every day. Of course, we all know this isn’t going to happen but we need to push back on this to show their hypocrisy.
