Popular conservative blogger Pamela Geller and New York Times bestselling author Robert Spencer sound a wake-up call for Americans to stop the Obama administration from limiting our hard-won freedoms, silencing our democratic voices, and harming America for generations to come—now available in paperback.

America is being tested in a way that she has never been tested before. Since taking the oath of office in January 2009, President Barack Obama has cheered our enemies and demoralized our allies. He is hard at work “remaking” America by destroying the free-market system and nationalizing major segments of our economy, demonizing dissent and restricting freedom of speech, turning against our longtime friends, and above all, subjecting us to the determinations of foreign authorities. In this timely and urgent battle cry, Pamela Geller, founder of the widely popular website AtlasShrugs.com, and bestselling author Robert Spencer team up to expose the Obama administration’s destructive agenda—largely ignored by the mainstream media—and rally Americans to protect the sovereignty of a country that is under siege. Geller and Spencer critically examine the Obama administration’s ominous and revealing moves against our basic freedoms, particularly as he seizes control of the three engines of the American economy: health care, energy, and education.
The Post-American Presidency is a vital guide to helping conservatives prepare for the tough battles ahead.

Review

"Barack Obama is the most radical individual ever to occupy the White House. This excellent book by Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer explains exactly what that means and why its implications are fraught with such dangers for this great Republic."

--David Horowitz, author of "Radical Son"

"In "The Post-American Presidency", Pamela Geller shines her laser on President Barack Obama - his life, his values, his friends and his perceptions of the country he leads. What she reports will disturb not only every American who believes in that America is the Shining City on the Hill and that the American people are what Abraham Lincoln referred to as 'the almost chosen people.' It should also disturb people around the world who recognize that the international system stops working when the American Atlas shirks the burden of its uniqueness."

--Caroline Glick, author of "The Shackled Warrior"

"Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer are two of the most incisive analysts of events at home and abroad, and you could not ask for better guides to where 'hope, ' 'change' and czars are taking us - and what Americans can do about it."

--Mark Steyn, "New York Times" bestselling author of "America Alone"

"Sheer brilliance! Sharp, well-written and to-the-point. The ultimate patriot's handbook. Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer lay bare Barack Hussein Obama's radical agenda and how to stop it. No true American's library will be complete without this book."

--Brad Thor, #1 "New York Times" bestselling author of "Foreign Influence"

"This book is a chilling analysis of how the policy of President Barack Obama is chipping away at the very foundation of America's leading role in the world. It exposes his philosophy of near universal 'moral equivalency' a philosophy that is a dead ringer for the cultural relativism that has been poisoning Europe for the past decades. America is the last man standing and it is vital that the people of Europe adopt the attitude of proud American citizens and learn that it is not shameful to be proud of one's heritage. This book is incredibly fascinating and at the same time holds a deeply disturbing message we should all take to heart."

--Geert Wilders, Dutch MP

"With their characteristic attention to detail, clarity and fearlessness, Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer assay the wreckage. "The Post-American Presidency "is must reading for every concerned American who needs to know why we're in this perilous moment, and where we're headed if we don't take our exceptional country back."

--Andrew C. McCarthy, "National Review" legal affairs editor, author of "Willful Blindness"

In this convincing book Super-Blogger (Atlas Shrugs) Pamela Geller and renowned Islamic scholar Robert Spencer join forces to argue that America, as a nation under President Obama, is now just another country in the alphabetical list of the world`s nations. It is no better than Afghanistan, Rwanda, Somalia, or any other hell-hole in the world, because as Obama says, "each nation thinks it is special." By his logic, no single nation can be "special," because they are all "special" in their own eyes.

And not only is America's significance in the world being downgraded, it is being made over into a Socialist State.

The "Post-American Presidency" at several points is not well written and the blame for this must fall on Geller. The blogger style does not translate well into book form. Nonetheless this work is worth five stars due to its momentous content. It is a compendium and summing up of the words and actions of Barack Hussein Obama that prove beyond doubt his allegiance is not to the interests of the citizens of America, but to the citizens of the "world."

In both the national and the international realms, Obama is attempting dangerous and lasting damage to America; in the national realm the attempt is to redistribute wealth and in the international realm, to redistribute power. This work documents the negative results of Obama's agenda with 330 pages of text, thirty pages of footnotes, and an eleven page index. Crucial issues and events that have appeared piecemeal throughout Obama's life and tenure are related consecutively and discussed in detail.

Some reviewers have compared "The Post-American Presidency' unfavorably to Michelle Malkin's "Culture of Corruption". This is not an apt comparison. Malkin's theme is political corruption, Geller's is anti-Americanism. There are a few instances where they cover the same ground, such as ACORN and the appointment of czars, but even in these cases, the point of emphasis remains different.

Sometimes the blogger writing style is very effective and Pamela Geller's soaring rhetoric reaches a high pitch of polemic intensity, every sentence like the firing of a Gatling Gun. At these times ideas come thick and fast with an inner rhythm that is spellbinding. At other times Geller comes across ranting and raving with expressions such as "treasonous clowns" and "...America ain't dead yet" (pp. 328-29).

Robert Spencer, the cool, collected, erudite scholar provides a good counterbalance to Geller's occasional hyperbole. Spencer's encyclopedic knowledge is especially notable in the first ten (of fourteen) Chapters, which contain the main argument of the book's subtitle; "The Obama Administration's War on America."

I heartily recommend this book. It is a passionate, partisan, and decisive critique of the life and times of The forty-fourth President of the U.S.A.

great book to read

I give this book 4 stars, not 5, for 2 reasons. The first reason is the inattention paid to the horrible administrations of George W. Bush, which propelled a “Change” opponent from the Radical Left in the first place. Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer turn a blind eye to the faults of Bush’s failure on foreign and domestic policies, including letting go of the pursuit of bin-Laden. I feel some context was needed, at least on the foreign policy front because this book is about global internationalism with Muslims. Obama was the Commander-in-Chief when Enemy Number One was hunted down and killed. The second reason is the rushed timing of the publication. Evidently, Geller and Spencer wanted this published in time for mid-term Tea Party elections, therefore leaving the iceberg of anti-American Obama crimes not yet committed. If there is a third reason for less than 5 stars, it’s too much reliance of John Bolton and Sarah Palin.

Now to those crimes. On page 44, the “cartoon riots” of 2006 led to ridiculous Internationalism in the UN. The 57 nation Organization of the Islamic Conference, “the largest voting bloc at the United Nations,” applied Islamic standards of restricted speech that Obama put into place in our intelligence agencies. These same “racist” restrictions are overrunning Germany and England and France, etc. right now. At least Trump was able to use the language of “radical Islamic terrorism” to the advantage of his campaign and the detriment of Obama’s “legacy”. The EU and the UN were better places for Obama’s employment, not the White House. Like rapper Rick Ross, OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu’s presence at the White House signified anarchy instead of order, tribal values instead of law or unity.

See if this sounds familiar in places like Chicago, Ferguson, Oakland, Milwaukee, Baltimore, Charlotte, San Jose, and Ferguson again, riotous cities once Obama was re-elected and free to orchestrate his anarchy. In Kenya, on page 71, the story is told of Raila Odinga, a politician running for office with the coincidental support of area Muslim groups and, of course, Barack Obama. Odinga loses. Then: “Amid widespread charges that [the other guy] had stolen the election, Odinga supporters staged bloody reprisals, killing 700 and displacing 250,000 within a month after the election …. Two hundred people were burned alive when Odinga supporters torched a church.” Geller and Spencer did not know it yet, but these violent, chaotic actions in Kenya were about to be orchestrated on an American scale, and of course they were manufactured: Darren Wilson lives underground fearing for his life for being a good cop, a white cop, as a city is destroyed on national TV, twice. Baltimore riots are encouraged by a black mayor and her “space to destroy”. After she and her helpless state’s attorney Mosby try to crucify law and order as part of their race baiting, even when only the “victim” fit a race baiting profile, Mayor Rawlings-Blake is at the DNC counting delegates, promoted no doubt for anarchy and incompetence, and other factors. Black Lives Matter becomes a terrorist group, chanting for dead cops and communicating threats at an unprecedented level, for this country, which was civilized at least before the Community Organizer took over. A Trump rally is cancelled because of violence in Chicago. Trump supporters are violently attacked in various northern California cities. Conservative speakers like Ann Coulter, Ben Shapiro, and Heather MacDonald are prevented from speaking. Charles Murray defenders are attacked as Murray is ushered to his own safety. Police officers are ambushed and killed in Dallas and Louisiana (and Philadelphia and St. Louis and New York city, etc.). The University of Missouri system has its leaders fired over staged events. Granted the death toll comparison does not compare at all, hardly, but that is only because the USA and Kenya do not compare, thankfully. Clearly, Obama had his relative influence in both cases. He became a veritable arsonist of hate crimes for political gain.

On page 85, the Gaza connection is made. Collusion if Special Counsel and Capitol Hill were so inclined to "be racist" and actually examine the terrorist nature of their new president. Monir Edwan gave the Obama campaign $25 K. Hamas funded Obama. They got what they wanted in return, surely.

“Then There is Obama Himself” begins on page 96. The book says that Obama’s own quotes from Dreams of His Daddy were removed from his own website, Organizing for America. The anti-Semitic comments remained: “Jews owe Africa and Africans everything they have today because if Africa did not shelter them when they were homeless and starving they would not be here today.” Like others in this country who gave Obama all possible passes as examples of their moral imperative, not his, American Jews continued to support him. The website more insidiously supported views from Richard Falk of Princeton that Nazi-fied Israel. Obama supported the Islamists who supported him even when they were shelling missiles at Israel and, worse, portrayed Israel as the aggressors who needed to concede ground.

What may put the cherry on top for Israel was Valerie Jarrett's presence at the 46th Annual Convention of the Islamic Society of North America. She may as well have attended with Goebbels and Himmler (and David Duke) for all the Holocaust approval going down. This brings to mind another interesting match to come from the “Obama legacy”: Hillary Clinton on stage with Jay Z.

Obama and Biden, later in the book, discuss how the majority of the Taliban are moderate members. On page 184, Obama panders to Muhammad Sayyid Tantawi, he who approves suicide bombing. On page 207, he calls the US a "muslim country". Clearly, he wishes; this is like Bush's use of the word "recruitaments". On page 203-205, he praises the Muslim contribution to our history. This is incorrect on every conceivable level and angle and attempt at equivocation. I suppose we have a lot of Muslims to blame for systematic slavery from the Founding Fathers and from the antebellum South. Thanks to that glorious Muslim Charles Lindbergh. Did we know that Theodore Roosevelt prayed to Mecca 5 times a day? Women's suffrage was almost entirely the act of women wearing their hijabs. On second thought, no wonder Henry Ford hated Jews; thanks to Obama, now we know Ford was a Muslim who invented assembly lines for machines, just not for jihad.

The book ends, basically, with some very insightful words about Net Neutrality. Unfortunately, I am waiting for the day when all of the internet functions like the comment censors at Facebook. If conservatives lose the internet, they'll have to resort to being Dostoevsky's Underground Man. At least we all know now what it was like to be "organized". Talk about irony.

One of the best exposes of His Fraudulency's agenda, and his absolute disregard for what this country is and the President's duties as its leader. Never in the history of this great nation has there been a less qualified man in this position. Not because he is not smart or educated, but because he is qualified and well-practiced in all of the political arts that are antithetical to the United States of America, its Constitution, the fundamental rights of its people, and its leading role as the beacon of progress and freedom to the world.
Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer have done us all a great service. In their well-organized and concise work, they have synthesized all that is wrong with the Obama presidency and show us the pattern of deception that has permeated every part of his life and works. Of course, those most in need of the information in this book will likely not read it, but as the clothes continue to fall off of the emperor, perhaps they will find here some of what they have so far refused to see.
Geller has gathered here the basic details of each of his misguided and anti-American policies, and opens the door to further thought about the implications of continuing in this path. This is the preface many of us needed in order to continue in the path of opposition to the destruction of our country and of the ideals that have supported and encouraged all freedom-loving people around the world under the banner of the United States.

Dr. Schw.

4.0 out of 5 stars DISTURBING
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 30, 2011
I received this book two days ago and i read it, its disturbing but not surprising. At this moment i don't know what the Americans were thinking of by chosing him as President, most of the things he has been doing are quite familiar with me since he seems to follow the same philosophy of the very unpopular European Left wing elites and in particular Spanish PM Zapatero (with who he has much in common) cynically Zapatero has been doing the same thing as what Obama is trying to do in America (under a banner of democracy and a false message of hope he is slandering the opposition and attacking free speech)but like Zapatero Obama will fail, the way Obama treats rogue states like Iran is similar to Zapatero's treatment of ETA So far Obama has been the worse President since Jimmy Carter, he is abandoning its traditional allies like Britain, leaving Eastern Europe back to Russian influence neglicting strong allies like Poland and the Czech Republic and supporting unconstitutional populists like Zelaya the former PM of Honduras and trying to make friends with Chavez, Iran, etc... The reason i give the four stars and not five is that although it goes deep into Obama's policies in the middle east doesn't dig far on the cases of Honduras and Eastern Europe, the case of Honduras is shocking and alarming; Honduras two main political parties are the Liberal Party which Zelaya belonged to and the National Party now in power, both are centre-right although the national party is slightly more conservative, surprisingly Zelaya, who won the election on a centre-right platform , joined ALBA (An organization founded by Cuba and Venezuela promoting Chavez imperialism) , the Honduras constitution only approves of a two term presidency well Zelaya wanted to change the constitution without the support of the army, the high tribunal, the senate, parliament, his own party and the opposition at the time the National Party, well what happened was that since Zelaya was trying to usurp the constitution the army did the right thing and got rid of him, but this was not a military coup like previous military coups in Latin America where a generalisimo would rule with an iron fist, this was a coup because the President was trying to imposse himself as a dictator like Chavez and Castro without the support from anyone The presidency was left in the hands of Micheletti form the same party and strong opposer of Zelaya. Honduras the third poorest country in the America's waqs then subject to economic sanctions from the US and the EU. It was unbelievable, in fact Micheletti just staid in power until he called for early elections where his party lost. There wasn't any tanks in the street, protests, people kidnapped or getting tortured like say in Argentina in the seventies. This was a coup because the leader wanted to jeapordize the countries democracy what was more disturbing was the American administration following the line of Venezuela and Cuba.At the end when the elections were called the winner was the more right wing National party and what was worse was that the US administration and the EU leftist elite didn't recognize the free will of the people form Honduras. Micheletti wasn't a Galtiere, Stroesner or Videla, he was a true democrat who did what was best for his country, I think that Americans should read this instead of listening to airheads like George Clooney
