German police accused of DISCOURAGING teen from reporting migrant attack
GERMAN police have been accused of discouraging a teenage girl from filing a complaint after she was allegedly attacked by a migrant.
The 15-year-old says she was grabbed off the street as she walked her dog in Rheinberg, a town in the western German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The girl said: "He grabbed my shoulders, did not let go of me and wanted to drag me in a dark corner. Then I screamed loudly for help."
A passerby reportedly heard the cries and rushed to help the girl.

The suspect, who was said to be under the influence of alcohol, then fled the scene.
He has been identified as a 50-year-old Algerian migrant, who lives at nearby asylum accommodation, according to reports.
The girl said: "I called my father and he came immediately. From the beginning it was clear to us that we wanted to file a complaint against the man.
“We told this to three policemen, who arrived at the housing after almost one hour."
But the girl claims the on-duty police officer did not want to write a report when she tried to file a complaint.
The girl’s father said: "The official was actively discouraging us from filing a complaint, saying it would not bring anything."
The alleged victim added: “The third policeman was pressurising us all the time and did not want us to report the man. Who should help you, if not the police?"
An investigation has been launched by the police into the allegations. While the family has since been visited by a local government employee who is responsible for the asylum accommodation.
The father added: "He has apologised to us in every way for the behaviour of the man and informed us that the 50-year-old man will be promptly relocated to another facility in the town of Euskirchen."
