7 Ways To Get More Contacts on Zillow

Education & Training with Retired Executive Director of Education at eXp Non-Licensed

Everyone in real estate already knows that it takes "Contacts" and "Appointments" to create customers and closed transactions. Lead cultivation and lead generation are the daily staple in real estate. Agents tell me everyday that their success comes from having a strong internet presence, experience, local knowledge, a good CRM, a large database, and the ability to convert.

Zillow is a great resource for helping with all the above so start with creating a free profile.

7 Ways To Get More Contacts From Zillow?

  1. Provide Valuable Local Information

Fill your profile with information that buyers and sellers find valuable and useful. Provide information and links to things like schools, weather, local events, transportation, tips,
local resources, and more. It shows you are the expert in that location and by being helpful, it could result in a potential client contacting you. Many agents have confirmed that adding a personalized video to their profile has also increased their volume of contacts.

  2. Get Client Reviews
(and Not Just for Closed Transactions)

Reviews work and you don’t ONLY have to get reviews from clients who bought or sold a home with you. There are multiple options available for requesting reviews from past clients (see the choices below). Take advantage of allowing others promote you on your profile. Let them share their experiences about you with your viewers.  This is a powerful feature that works.

If increasing your contacts is really of interest, then feel free to download the rest of this post in a PDF eBook below, there is some great tips and information available and it's totally free.

Hi Brad,

Thank you for your input on Zillow. I think I am going to go check out my profile and  refresh it. I can't remember the last time I did. I try my best to keep on top of all the free sites and to keep up to date but it sad to sad that when I get busy. Those are the things I tend to get too relaxed with. Thank you fo reminder.

Have a great one

JodiAnn

JodiAnn - your profile on Zillow is like your "Store-Front" at the Real Estate Mall where people are looking locally for a pro, an expert in the community, an agent who can help them the rest of the way... YOU!  :-)

You mention the real estate sites:
It's bizarre, the more clients that agents get, the less attention those clients get from their agent over time. Seems like keeping up on all the sites is the same in theory, just remember that some sites generate the most potential clients?!?  :)

Brad, Thanks for the advice.  Clients are definitely doing their own searching before contacting an agent.  It makes good sense to be where they're looking.

Pat - it's true! That's a fact that no one has to prove any longer for sure!

The NAR does a great report every year showing consumer (Buyer & Seller) online activity. The percentage of people that use the Internet and their mobile devices to access real estate information is staggering!  :-)
