Quilling is a decorative art which dates back to the Renaissance period. It is used to decorate just about anything - book covers, work baskets, furniture, box tops and so on. Quilling itself does give the final products a 3D look. This is obvious with the whimsical paper quilled jewelry designs of Honey Moser who has an Etsy store aptly named Honey's Hive.

Honey has been crafting since she was a little girl growing up in Wisconsin. She is now based in Malaysia. She is clearly passionate about quilling and her little girl loves watching her mother make her jewelry.

Honey's eco jewelry is super light to wear. The pieces have also been varnished to protect them.

Her nature inspired creations are also very kid friendly. Those elephant earrings above are simply adorable.

I particularly like how she edges some of her pieces. It reminds me of how Renaissance era monks and nun used the trimmings from gilded edges of book pages. Honey's lovely paisley earrings below was edged with both gold and silver - fit for a bridge or bridesmaid!
