Erin emailed in the following tip:
Email is often my worst enemy and it’s a close rival with Facebook as my biggest productivity killer. However, I recently discovered unroll.me, a service that helps manage your email subscriptions. I LOVE it!
Basically, it scans your inbox and gathers up all your email subscriptions in one place. You can then quickly unsubscribe via a screen in your unroll.me account — or you can choose to “roll up” the subscriptions in a daily feed-type email that gives a short snippet of all your subscriptions!
When you want to read one of the emails in your roll-up, you just click on the snippet!
The subscriptions still come to your inbox — they will just be filtered into a special “unroll.me” folder. So, if you can’t wait for your daily roll up, you can always look for your subscriptions in that folder. But, that might defeat the purpose. 😉
Alternately, if there are some emails that you absolutely do not want to miss or wait for them in your roll-up, you can always opt to leave them in your inbox.
You can choose to receive your roll up in the morning, afternoon, or evening. I chose evening so they hopefully won’t distract me until I have finished my work for the day! -Erin

Does anyone worry about putting your email information on there that it might get stollen? I have already had my email hacked last month and it was a PIA.

I joined this a few weeks ago and love it. I have never had to post anything to Facebook, Twitter or refer anyone. It keeps my in box more manageable.

Yikes! I just signed up and they are in the process of scanning my inbox for subscriptions… They aren’t done yet and have already found 215!!! Umm, perhaps that is why my inbox currently has over 14,000 (yes, Fourteen THOUSAND) emails. To say I needed this would be a gross understatement. 😉

Erin, you are a saint for sharing!! Seriously, I can’t believe the service is free. I’m giddy…instead of checking my phone every 8 minutes and trying to delete email every time I sit down to nurse, I can have it consolidated. Brilliant. Thank you!!!

They don’t support comcast mail yet–frustrating.

I chose simplify as (one of my two) word(s) for the year. (Needed two!) One of my goals was to go through my subscriptions and weed out. This sounds like it might be a simple way to do that and to organize the ones I want to keep. Thanks!

However, a little concerned about the privacy policy.

I love it too. I use it for two different email accounts. I subscribe to some things in case I am out of town or need a gift but do not want to get 100 emails a day from these places.
I have never had to enter facebook or twitter info. I also have never had to share it, but I have chose to tell many people about it because it works so well and keeps me so organized.
I also created a folder called “@to do” (the @ makes it appear first in my list). When I read an email, I either delete it, respond to it or put it in my @to do folder if it is something I can do later. I never have email in my in box 🙂 Then once a day I check my to do folder and deal with those emails in the same way.

I subscribed a few weeks ago too and LOVE it – I’ve signed up for so many sites to get coupon savings, and after determining to spend a few hours unsubscribing a month or so ago I realized it was more than I could do. (I spent several hours and still hadn’t unsubscribed to everything!)
I saw this through a friend on Facebook and absolutely love it – would definitely recommend it too!

I just enrolled both of my email addresses with this site. However, after Unsubscribing from 4 sites, it wouldn’t let me continue without posting on Faecbook (I’m not a member), Twitter (I’m not a member) or emailing 5 friends to tell them about the site. That’s frustrating because I don’t want to market to my friends, I just want to clean up my inbox!

Argh, that’s frustrating! Thanks for letting us know.
