Experience

Amber Stott's first recipe appeared on Simply Recipes in 2012. The majority of her recipes appear in the classroom, where she reaches over 1,000 elementary students in low-income, South Sacramento Title 1 schools with hands-on cooking and nutrition lessons. Stott hosts the podcast Raising Kale, has given a TEDx Talk about Building Broccoli Habits, interviews chefs in front of sold-out audiences, has waded through California rice fields with farmers, and fire-roasted salmon tacos on a remote Alaskan beach.

She eats cactus, runs along river trails, and hikes miles with her husband through the wilderness. Her debut book featuring recipes and food science experiments for kids will be released in 2021. She has also written for Edible Sacramento, Comstock's Magazine, and Inside Publications.
