Endre - we are still friends even on the "NEW" Activerain! :-)

What this video covers/represents is only the "History" of 2013 which I'm honored to have been a part of, but I honestly can't wait to share what's coming in 2014!

No commercials my friend... just a humble and grateful appreciation for the year past and the opportunity to have witnessed it all.  Thanks for watching and commenting. Happy Holidays~

Sorry Brad, Zillow is not my friend. they have  out dated information  "walk a mile in my shoes" when a buyer finds  ahome on Zillow and Ihave to spend 1/2 hour researching it, only to find it's been sold for 3 years.... so why should Zillow be the Realtor friend????

Brad,

Good piece.  While I am not interested in having zillow zip codes, I do find many consumers are checking it out and we need to work with them and Zillow to do good real estate.

It's come a long way, will be curious to see how you strengthen the data in 2014!

All the best, Michelle

Hey Joe - thanks for commenting. Just a couple things I'd like to point out:

Every home on Zillow sold at some point in time to someone. There are 110,000,000+ million homes on the site (including yours and mine) and they are not all for sale. This is not a bad thing, it's a beautiful thing because calls do and will always get generated to agents and lenders on ANY and ALL homes.

Many agents have shared with me that it's easy to pull up a PIQ (property in question) on Zillow and also on their local MLS. If the home in question sold 3 years ago, then it most likely did, and they find them something else for sale. This shouldn't take you a half hour??

Getting the in-person appointment is always their goal.

Having said that, I'll admit that every home, every listing, every detail on every page of every property may not be perfect and 100% dead-on, you may even find a typo or two, but that's no excuse to keep us from trying to build it the very best we can, and you benefiting from our site and efforts.  :-)

If you're willing to spend some time with me to investigate the opportunity and options available, I'd be happy to assist and share what other agents are doing successfully in this exact same scenario.

This is why Zillow IS the REALTOR's friend. We're connecting consumers to agents and lenders everyday all across the country helping them in the home buying, selling, and borrowing process. We also help you as the agent and will take the time to support and show you how.

My door is always open. Thanks.

Michelle - thank you.

Many Agents are using Zip Code marketing and advertising opportunities on Zillow, but they aren't the only ones that benefit from having a relationship or partnership with us. There are many ways to connect and have success with the 53 million visitors that came to Zillow last month.

2014 will be a stellar year for us both. Have a great Holiday and Happy New Year~

Hi Brad... Thanks for sharing the video. I've seen it shared elsewhere, but haven't watched it until now. I like the idea that all homes are on Zillow, regardless if they are for sale or not. And I use the iPhone app frequently. You've had a pretty amazing year in 2013! I'm with Endre and thanks for being my old 'Active Brad' friend! I'm looking forward to 2014 and hope we cross paths. Perhaps a jam session is in order! Happy Holidays to you and yours!

Hey Rene - we are long overdue for an IRL get together.

I promise to get down there this next year and hook up with you guys, even if it's just for a quick lunch and a jam session!

Happy Holidays to you too, and tell all my First American friends I said hi.  :-)

Zillow has brought me success after success for three years now.  I know I told you I signed up at Raincamp in ATL in 2010, but I'm not sure I ever told you how excited I was to have my first lead before I could drive home.

Obviously I don't have all my eggs in one basket, but zillow has been a good part of my lead generation and I'm happy to be on board.

Merry Christmas.

I have been with Zillow for about 2 years now.  I am having excellent luck with them and I think right now about half of my business is coming from zillow leads.  Yes sometimes I do have people calling on property that is no longer available but it truly is not that hard to let them know that you will send them like properties in the area.  A few get mad but most are grateful for the info.  And lets be real most people don't buy the first property they ask for info on in the first place.  Quite often we end up selling someone a home that we were surprised they  bought as it wasn't even in there origional search query.

I am finding that most zillow inquiries are earlier in there search process then inquiries from like Realtor.com.  It is appearing to me that most of them are about 1 year out or so.  But my data base is getting full and it doesn't matter to me if the leads that are coming in now are really not going to pay off until next year.  I'm fairly certain I will need to eat then to.

Michele - you're not alone. I know many agents who have experienced success on Zillow that have asked to be put on waiting lists for some of the local coveted areas. Those areas do come available and go very quickly, I hope you get yours soon.

If there's anything I can do in the meantime to help out, please feel free to contact me anytime. My door is always open to you and other members here and on Zillow.
