How To Take High Tech to High Touch

By

My friend Jeff Turner from Zeek Interactive has outdone himself with this presentation.

The concept and philosophy here ties right into one of mine I refer to as, “Ctrl+ALT+Delete” which is a commonly known universal “command” in which everyone can relate to, but no one does anything about, at least until you’re at a dead end, locked up, and have no other options.

Take a moment to watch this presentation slideshow, ponder the content for a few short minutes, then initiate a power down sequence of your “High Tech” mobile device or computer, go get cleaned up and make yourself publicly presentable, and then head out into the world of “High Touch” and experience something new, exciting, and different for a change.

Oh yeah, and one more thing:  I dare you to try and leave your mobile device behind….

Don't just have a great day, Have a great life!

You know I went to the GA national fair last week with my Donald and my young adult daughter and what do you know we only used our phones to take some photos of interestings stuff all day.  We had a great day and left the "connection" to the world behind.  It was fabulous.

This is, of course, a Utopian concept.  I am afraid we have passed the point of no return and it is only going to get worse.  I hope not, but with kids growing up and not knowing anything else, what will change?

Brad, I have now heard a similar message from several different sources... "low tech" is satisfying on many levels...

Good morning Brad. Whenever I "power down" I get a few minutes of anxiety and then a strange peaceful feeling takes over. My daughter and her husband text each other while sitting fifteen feet away. Yikes. We are losing something huge here in personal communication.

Excellent presentation, Brad.  I think I would like to leave my mobile device at times, but you're right.  I can't.

Hi Brad... This resonates with me. No one loves technology more than me, but my pet peave is the distractions and loss of connection. They're tools and they ain't people, they're intention is to help us connect. When ever I'm in meeting, talking to a client, hanging out with my sales reps... the phone is off and in my pocket, silent. I'm here now with you, and any "incoming" can wait a few. I think Jeff nails it! Thanks for the share.
