- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2012Having just seen the title switched me to holiday mode already. The book is a good resource for those wanting to come up with something sweetly edible to give to loved ones with their personal touch. It would have been more helpful if pictures of each the desserts are in the book to help us properly choose what to prepare in the list. Nevertheless, you can feel the happy holiday mood that is with the creation of this short book and it's quite infectious.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 14, 2013My children loves desserts and at times it is hard to think what to make. Its always the same old stuff but this book gives me ideas and also teaches me to decorate the dessert and make it looks good. When you watch Chefs on TV decorating/plating the food so nicely and great to look at, it fathoms my mind on how they could do it. Hence this book is a great help.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 18, 2012The author provides a wide variety of recipes - most of them fairly common desserts all dressed up with new names for the holidays. It is a basic dessert cookbook that would be good for the novice cook who is just learning to make desserts and wants to try his/her hand creating holiday treats. It would have been helpful if the recipes were grouped by category. If I decided to make a pie, it would be much easier to go to the pie section and select one that appeals to me rather than being forced to look through the entire table of contents to find the pie recipes that were included.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2012Every year I look for one new sweet treat to try at Christmas. While many of the recipes here are good old standbys (which would make this a great gift for the newer cook), I have found several that I want to try. The directions are simple and to the point. Nothing in the book looks beyond my time constraints or ability. It would be nice to have some photos. Overall, I'm very glad I picked up this book.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2017I was excited to find this "free" Christmas Desserts cookbook -hoping to find yummy recipes that I've never seen before. I did see dessert titles I've never heard of before but, the actual recipes were nothing new.
After reviewing the recipes, I will not try any recipes in this "book" because they lack ingredients. Who doesn't use some combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, or allspice in their Sweet Potato or Pumpkin pie? And, no Cherry Pie shoul be called such if it only has canned cherry pie filling spread out on top -especially if it's actually a cheesecake "mousse" pie with no cherry flavoring mixed in.
I'm only a regular home cook, and recognize that sometimes "simple is best" but, these recipes made me think that they were compiled by someone with no experience tasting seasoned foods.
