Muslim gunmen storm holiday hotspot in Mali who have ‘taken hostages in resort popular with Western tourists’

More of the catastrophic fallout from former President Obama’s Libyan jihad misadventure. Say what you will about Qadafi, he kept the jihad force contained. North Africa descends into chaos and jihad war while millions of North African “migrants” invade Europe.

BREAKING NEWS: Holiday hotspot in Mali is stormed by gunman who have ‘taken hostages in resort popular with Western tourists’

No information has yet been given on whether there are any casualties involved
Gunfire and billowing smoke were reported at a resort on the edge of Bamako

A tourist camp popular with Westerners in the Malian capital was under attack on Sunday, according to witnesses.

Malian troops and soldiers from France’s Bakhane counter-terrorist force headed to the site on the edge of Bamako, where nearby residents reported hearing shots fired while smoke billowed into the air.

There was no information immediately available on any casualties.

The west African country has been battling a jihadist insurgency for several years, with Islamist fighters roaming the north and centre of Mali.

In November 2015, gunmen took guests and staff hostage at the luxury Radisson Blu hotel in Bamako in a siege that left at least 20 people dead, including 14 foreigners.

The attack was claimed by Al-Qaeda’s North African affiliate Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM).

The area is frequented by tourists, but Mali has been blighted over issues with terrorists in recent years

A state of emergency has been renewed several times since the Radisson Blu attack, most recently in April when it was extended for six months.

In 2012 Mali’s north fell under the control of jihadist groups linked to Al-Qaeda who hijacked an ethnic Tuareg-led rebel uprising, though the Islamists were largely ousted by a French-led military operation in January 2013.

But jihadists have mounted numerous attacks on civilians and the army, as well as on French and UN forces still stationed there.

Mali’s a country in northwest Africa, near Algeria and Mauritania.

I don’t know much about it, but different news articles suggest it has some cities and resorts foreign tourists like to see. So it’s possible a terror group is targeting foreigners there.

But it could be a robbery for all we know…you’re right, the robbery in the Philippines that was reported as an attack shows news outlets can jump to conclusions. Especially when so many attacks have been happening all over the place, people are probably more likely to panic now and assume an incident is terror related. And too often, it really is.

You’re incorrect about the Philippines. It was an attack on Christians and much worse than the MSM would like you to believe.

I’ve checked different news sites, both mainstream and not, and they each say different things. I thought it was a robbery, but now I’m not sure.

Some of it makes no sense.
If it was a robbery, why did he set fire to the poker tables? But if it was a jihadist, why didn’t he shoot the people who were there? It’s hard to imagine a jihadist would pass that opportunity up.

So, I don’t know what to think. Either way I look at it now, something doesn’t add up.

On November 20, 2015, one U.S. citizen and 19 other foreigners were murdered when heavily armed assailants stormed the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bamako using gunfire and grenades. I believe this resort outside Bamako was supposed to be a far more secure compound. I think I’ll vacation at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Who will be the candidate after Trump?
Media & governance are intertwined & as Trump sells weapons to Saudi Arabia & Qatar on the down low his media-engagement is restricted to superficial twitter-postings.
We need credible, radical anti-Islam activists as presidential candidates worldwide: America, North-Africa, West-Africa, the middle-East, Asia, Europe.
We need a global organization & global media in English, for a global government & English language, for human rights & ecology.
#BoycottIslam
#Ban Islam, save lives worldwide & free the African slaves from Saudi Arabia to Mauritania, the Biafra-leader, the Leavenworth 10, Israeli soldier Azaria, Salim Masih & so on.

If the foundation of your opponent’s religion (islam) is the destruction of your religion, then defense of your religion does not signify merely fending off its followers (muslims).

Defending your religion then signifies, the destruction of your opponent’s religion. This is because, the destruction of your religion is the fundamental duty in their religion, and therefore, the only manner in which they can stop attacking your religion, is if they violate their religion. It is only when the destruction of their religion occurs, that it can be called a successful defense of your religion. Failing this, it is merely evasion, not defense, for as long as your opponent’s religion is extant, its followers will keep coming after your religion. Our christian ancestors always made the fatal mistake of thinking that driving muslims back was successful defense. As we can see today, it was not. They drove muslims back numerous times and then stopped – As a result, their christian lands in the middle east are today, muslim lands. We must learn from their mistake.

Note – Since the inception of islam, muslims have never stopped attacking other religions, and they can never stop – Stopping would require muslims to violate islam. So they have no choice.

The peace dividends of the religion of peace are paying off, one instalment at a time. O’bimbo is an islamic proselytizer, he and his band of murderers would see the increased violence as an indicator of success to them.

What Westerner in his right mind would go to Mali? 90 percent of Malians are Muslim (mostly Sunni). After the 2012 imposition of sharia rule in northern parts of the country, Mali was listed high (number 7) in the
Christian persecution index published by Open Doors, which described the persecution in the north as severe.

And Now Mali jihadis come to EU. Muslim invaders posing as unaccompanied “refugee children” (24 – 42 year old) threaten to kill Swedes if not allowed to stay http://bit.ly/2pLFV6i

Sadly most people who go on vacation in foreign countries know little or nothing about them and their political situation. All they see is a ‘bargain’ holiday.

I just hope the hostages will be okay. It’s scary that this kind of violence seems to be happening more often lately.

Then again, half the time I can’t be sure if it’s really worse than ever in the world’s history, or if we’re just learning about more incidents more quickly because technology is much better than it used to be.

Back in the 1600s we’d have never heard about attacks in Mali because of sheer distance and how long it took news to travel. Now technology makes it a lot easier to learn what’s going on pretty much everywhere.

In some ways that’s good, we can keep in better contact with loved ones living in far away places. But in other ways, all the suffering we hear about worldwide just makes life seem even worse.

You had European Colonial powers that would have protected many but would not have stopped the Slave Trade. It was not till 1800’s that we had the Barbary Coast war

I do not wish to defend Obama but you need to keep the facts straight PG. Obama did not overthrow Gaddafi, he assisted the Libyan people in overthrowing Gaddafi. Obama was also dragged into the fray rather reluctantly by his NATO allies, France and UK. ‘Say what you like’ about Gaddafi he was a brutal dictator, who hanged students in public for damaging his posters. To name just one of his crimes. He also tortured his opponents in his jails. He also promised publicly to obliterate Benghazi and every man woman and child in it. If he had been allowed to do that the West would now be living in shame as they are now for their lack of spine in dealing with Assad.

At once time tourism to Timbuktu and other places were important sources of foreign revenue in this utterly impoverished perpetual war zone.
