Talk about skewed thinking. A former adviser to Barack Obama took to national television on Monday — on the heels of the Islamic terror attack in London — and said, with straight face, that President Donald Trump’s travel ban would actually make matters worse.
As if Islamic terrorists weren’t already committing their acts of terror — as if a temporary ban on entering America would somehow prove the spark that ignited the flame and drove them to murder.
This is such crazy talk. And it’s what’s filling the minds and mouths of the left.

Here’s what ex-Obama adviser Lisa Monaco said, as the Hill noted:
“‘I joined a group of bipartisan national security officials to criticize this ban, both its predecessor and the current one, because I don’t think from a national security encounter terrorism perspective, it gets at the problem,’ Monaco, the former assistant to President Obama for homeland security and counterterrorism, said on CNN’s “New Day.”
“‘And indeed, it could make it worse.’
“Monaco said the people aren’t yet aware of the identities of the people who carried out the attack Saturday in London, which left at least seven people dead and dozens more injured.”
Well actually, London officials do know the names of the ISIS-tied terrorists. They’re just not releasing them yet to the public.
Anyway, she goes on, trying to make the case that the names of the terrorists are significant pieces of the puzzle — that without the names, authorities just can’t take proper action to prevent such terror from occurring yet again. Her views:
“‘But what we do know is the last two attacks before this one in Britain were conducted by British citizens. We also know that there has never been an attack in the United States since 9/11 by anybody from the countries that were listed in this ban,’ she said.
“‘So the bottom line is, it doesn’t get at the problem that we’re confronting here, which is, in many respects, inspired violence or home-grown violence.’
“Her comments come after Trump last weekend reignited debate over his travel ban in the wake of the London attack.
“In a tweet on Saturday, Trump renewed his call for the courts to approve his revised executive order, which would temporarily bar nationals from six predominately Muslim countries from entering the U.S.
“‘We need to be smart, vigilant and tough,’ Trump said. ‘We need the courts to give us back our rights. We need the Travel Ban as an extra level of safety!’
“On Monday, Trump further made clear the intent of the blocked travel ban, now being appealed to the Supreme Court.
“‘People, the lawyers and the courts can call it whatever they want, but I am calling it what we need and what it is, a TRAVEL BAN!’ he tweeted.”

Its not even a ban. Its a 90 day waiting period. You’re right, it doesn’t go nearly far enough. Most Americans want an actual ban on Muslims. A permanent ban.

Looks like Trump is done playing around with these 2 bit judges. He should just ignore them. They can’t do a damn thing to stop him.
I believe Trump will be one of the best presidents to ever take office. Liberals will try to bring him down, but Trump will stand tall. Moral of this post, don’t let media blind you by the first sentences of articles, read and gain knowledge of each situation. Remember, knowledge is power.
Trump could literally cure cancer but yet there would always be someone out there saying what a terrible man he is.
Real Americans took our country back from globalist elite! We wanted our jobs and our nation back! Our healthcare was too expensive. Mine is $700/month now (thanks to Obamacare). My car insurance is still $25 per month (from Insurance Panda), but what are the Democrats plans for that? If you look at Democrat strongholds like Detroit and New Orleans, car insurance will run you $300+ per month! Look for increase in taxes too!

While I recognize that constitutional free speech gives the person above every right to voice her opinion, I retain the right to disagree with her commentary. She tells us that the ban or travel restrictions will not affect the problem that we are facing from the terrorist mentality, but we do know what the problem is. It is directly related to a belief system that has as its goal the overthrowing and or subjugation of everything we as Americans live by. To not recognize that as the direct cause of the terrorist conduct is to be as deaf, dumb and blind as the see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil monkeys. This “politically correct” ultra liberal person is simply refusing to see the reality that exists in the real world today. These people have approached this problem the same way for many years, and now Europe and soon America will be overwhelmed with the heinous conduct that is the belief system of the Islamic world. To deny that is downright stupid. The conduct that motivates the terrorist is built into their belief system, and there seems no way to avoid that or change it. To me it is no different from banning ardent supporters of Nazism from being allowed into this country, and that same thought ought to apply to those of the Islamic world, especially since I do not believe that the Islamists will ever change their ways, nor actually reform their belief system. Our lives are in jeopardy and we must protect ourselves accordingly, and an initial ban is totally in order, though we can attempt to create a vetting procedure that would work to allow in some of those who actually deserve the opportunity to come here and be productive, industrious and assimilate into what it means to be American..

In a way, the left is right. The Trump travel ban can make it worse. Let’s not kid ourselves. Once we take the gloves off and finally begin confronting Islam, there will be an increase in terror. Of course there will. These Muslims are not going to like having their religion exposed as the vile, evil, seditious ideology that it is. They are going to get madder than a stirred up hornet’s nest. There will be divison. There will be polarization. There will be collateral damage. Muslims that were only sympathetic to jihad before will now become jihadis. They will feel compelled to act, just as we feel compelled to act. Make no mistake about it. Whoever thinks there will be no backlash is kidding himself.
Even knowing this, we must have the courage to act. Islam must be confronted. It can no longer be ignored. This cancer only grows and spreads. Just as we must finally take action, we must also be aware of the consequences of our actions and plan for them. We are going to lose alliances with Islamic countries around the world. These former “allies”, will now openly become our enemies. We may find ourselves fighting battles on multiple fronts. We may need to consider internment of our indigenous Muslim populations, or at least of the most radical elements.
The time for rhetoric has passed. We must look honestly at the situation and prepare for it. More than ever, we need sober leadership to mitigate the fallout, leadership we are sorely lacking. We need to think ahead. What will the war look like? What resources do we need? What are our objectives? How can we minimize collateral damage? What do we want the world to be like after the war has been won? Once it begins, there is no going back. Think about that.

Someone needs to point out to this mental midget that some of the countries listed, such as Libya and Somalia, are also failed states, the muslime connection is coincidental to their country of origin. She also needs reminding that these seven countries are also the very same ones listed by the Obhammud State Department. To say this is a muslime ban is like saying that our efforts at stemming the illegal alien flow out of Mexico is a Catholic ban.

“A former adviser to Barack Obama” – Now that should have been a red flag to set off all BS meters. Flawed Logic: We already have several million potential terrorists in the US, so to make us safer we need to allow several million more to join them. My question: What is wrong with a Muslim Ban? We should have a say in who is entering our country and history has shown that Muslims in America are not a benefit to our way of life.

At this point I’m resigned to the democrats throwing up every roadblock they can think of to thwart Trump’s agenda. I’m resigned to some of his staff losing their nerve. I’m resigned to people who voted for him getting cold feet and inching back toward the dark side. All I ask of Trump is for him to stick to his guns and do what’s right. Forgot 2020. Just don’t give in.
