Donald Trump to Palestinian Authority’s Abbas: ‘You Tricked Me’

40

President Donald Trump, at a private meeting with Palestinian Authority president Mahmoud Abbas, reportedly let loose an angry vent against the PA leader that went like this: “You tricked me.”

President Donald Trump reportedly issued a scathing accusation against Palestinian Authoriy chief Mahmoud Abbas overe that president’s deceptive claim of love of peace with Israel.

Specifically, Trump is said to have yelled at Abbas, “You tricked me in DC,” in reference to the meeting the two had at the White House in early May.

Trump then said, according to an Israeli TV report, which cited an unnamed U.S. souce: “You talked there about your commitment to peace, but the Israelis showed me your involvement in incitement [against Israel].”

The Palestinians were said to have been left in shock at the outburst.

Here’s more, from Breaking Israel News:

“His outburst left the Palestinians in stunned silence, Israel’s Channel 2 reported, and tensions were high for several moments before both sides were able to get the meeting back on track. No evidence of the strain was visible in the joint press conference held after the private meeting, though Trump’s otherwise warm remarks included what many interpreted as a very pointed reference to the PA’s practice of paying salaries to terrorists and their families.

“‘Peace can never take root in an environment where violence is tolerated, funded and even rewarded,’ he declared.

“At their Washington meeting earlier in the month, Abbas had insisted that his people were peaceful, claiming at a joint press conference that the Palestinians were ‘raising our youth, our children, our grandchildren on a culture of peace.’

“But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu quickly countered the blatant falsehood, stating in response, ‘I heard President Abbas yesterday say that the Palestinians teach their children peace. Unfortunately, that’s not true. They name their schools after mass murderers of Israelis and they pay terrorists.’ …

“Palestinian law also regularly allocates thousands of dollars to murderers of Israelis and their families. Children are trained in combat camps to prepare for violent confrontations with the ‘Zionist enemy’, and a report last month found that official PA textbooks for students in first to fourth grades demonize Israel and glorify ‘martyrdom’ for their cause.”

That was probably Theatrics on President Trump’s part. I’m sure he wasn’t “tricked”, but he certainly used the Palestinian President’s words, spoken in the White House meeting, against him as he Castigated Him in this meeting….hoping to evoke Shame….probably didn’t work, but at least he tried. At least, he can use it as his “Reason” for relocating the US Embassy to Jerusalem.

Of course it was. It was President Trump’s way of saying: I could not call you a liar then and get away with it; but now I can, and I can say it for the entire world to hear.

While Trump supporters may pretend that this is a positive thing on his part, for me, it is simply another red flag, showing how ill-equipped he is to deal with the realities of the corruption of the Arab world, especially as it applies to Israel.

He makes a deal with the Saudis, pretending that a peaceful version of Islam exists, and that the Arab world wants real peace.

He struts into Israel, is surprised that the Arabs living in Palestine (Palestinians are an invented people), believing that Abbas and his ilk want peace that would allow the presence of Israel, and loudly complains to have been deceived of their true intentions.

Trump is a deal-maker, ignorant of too much of the Arab mindset, the nature of Islam itself, and the realities on the ground regarding our only ally in the Mideast, Israel.

His ignorance is very dangerous, and unfortunately, is again what I saw from him years ago. Yes, he can appoint people who may be good advisers, but that can only be done by a person who has an understanding of certain truths on the ground, especially as it concerns the entire Mideast, and the real motivations of Arab leaders of places like Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Jordan, Iran, Iraq, and groups like ISIS, as well as the entire Muslim world.

I’ll give credit for him with instances of good judgment, but it is imperative to also publicly recognize red flags that reveal his focus on dealing, rather than resisting evil, his ignorance of the world as it is, and his unwillingness to act for the common good, or to even learn what the genuine common good actually is.

My opinion of him, his character issues, and his being ill-suited to actually govern well remain pretty well unchanged, unfortunately. “At least he’s not Hillary” is a pretty lame and insufficient response to what we see, and were it Cruz in place, I’d likely have even more tough criticism for him, were he making such poor decisions and showing such poor judgment regarding the Arab world, the Muslim world, and the lack of genuine support for our only ally in the region, Israel.

I agree that he may be ill-equipped since he is banking on his experience as a businessman and that involved a lot of grooming him and catering to him to get his business. As President, he must realize it’s not the same and act accordingly.

HOWEVER, Hillary is a lying, sneaky bitch (since the 1990s) and I am ever so relieved that she did not make it. One can only hope that she gets what she deserves. Twenty years of that nasty bit and I am tired of hearing her name. It should now be considered synonymous with snake.

This is more evidence supporting any determination Israel must make to declare what is necessary to provide secure and defensible borders. The conduct of the Palestinians and Hama’s and the Arab world has, and continues to call for the killing of all Jews and the claim that the land of Israel is being occupied. The effect is to justify, in my mind, a conclusion that peace between these two peoples is unattainable and that if Israel wants to survive they need to take whatever steps are necessary to remove the anti Semites from whatever land they choose to be both safe and defensible. It is that obvious to me.

You are correct, al least in my mind. I am hoping that the Supreme Court recognizes that the lower federal courts are speculating, something never to be allowed to be used to trump factual presentations when they make determination not on the written law but on some notion that what was said during the pre-election rhetoric affects the written proposals, especially Trump’s attempt to cut off allowing dangerous potential terrorists an opportunity to enter this country.

Was watching a video where one individual was attempting to explain away taquiyya as “Oh it was once necessary, different sects, caliph – blah-blah-blah” More taquiyya. We ALL KNOW that humans can be very weak-minded and use ANY excuse to get over on another. Taquiyya is this driven to an art form. Never, if you value your life and income, never trust a Muslim.

‘The Palestinians were said to have been left in shock at the outburst”. Well of course they were shocked, they are all liars, they are used to dealing with o’bimbo and his troupe of liars, who indulge in the islamic courtesy of believing each other’s lies. When they have to deal with the truth, they are incapable of grasping the concept.

If this is true, I am very surprised that President Trump really allowed himself to be fooled by Abbas. Trump is a very smart man and seemed to have kept himself well informed of geopolitics for a very long time. So how did he not know that the Palestinian Authority always has one story for Western consumption, and then goes back home to publicly announce what they are really doing. At any rate, I am glad Pres. Trump rebuked Abbas for his duplicity.

So what’s the answer? I would stop all financial support to Abbas until he truly wants peace. this is why Obama loved him and hates Israel.
