“Moderate” Indonesia: Police arrest more than 140 men at gay sauna party

Monstrous. And the left’s complicity is criminal. The elites on the left attack and destroy those of us who oppose this brutal homophobia.

Even the Orlando mass murder of gays didn’t change anything.

Last year, I spoke at an LGBT event at the RNC decrying the treatment of gays under Islam, and the mainstream media attacked the event with a vengeance.

The left stands with the Muslims who practice sharia.

“Indonesian police arrest more than 140 men at alleged gay sauna party”, by Kate Lamb, The Guardian, May 22, 2017:

Indonesian police have arrested more than 100 men in a weekend raid on a gay sauna in the capital Jakarta, a day before two men are to be publicly flogged for having same sex relations.

Authorities raided what they said was a sex party promoted as ‘The Wild One,’ held at a sauna and gym venue in Jakarta’s north on Sunday evening.

Police spokesperson Agus Yuwono confirmed that 141 men, including the owner and several performers, had been detained for questioning and could be charged under Indonesia’s pornography law.

Homosexuality is not illegal in Indonesia, but over the past 18 months the LGBT community has been subject to an unprecedented wave of discrimination and attacks, sparked by several controversial comments from conservative government ministers.

Last month police targeted a gathering of gay men in a hotel in Surabaya, following a tip-off from neighbours. Fourteen men were arrested and forced to undergo HIV tests.

Two men were also arrested in Banda Aceh in late March and convicted of sodomy under the province’s sharia law. The men were sentenced to 85 lashes with the cane, which will be meted out publicly in the provincial capital on Tuesday.

This will be the first time Aceh’s sharia courts have sentenced people to flogging for homosexual acts.

Yulita Rustinawati from the LGBT activist group Arus Pelangi said that while all the details of Sunday’s raid were not year clear, the arrests were likely part of a growing trend of intolerance toward the queer community in the world’s largest Muslim-majority nation.

“It’s been increasing for two years now,” Rustinawati said of the recent crackdowns……

Indeed Mahou, but Islam aside, there are still nations who have anti-homosexuality laws on their books.

Replace them with “anti muslim” laws, that would be some real legal progress.

I think it was around 2003 in USA before all states removed it as a crime
And if I remember correctly, around 1778, in Virginia
The maximum penalty for sodomy was death
Do not think it was ever enforced though

Indeed. In the Bible homosexuality was a capital offense, but this writer has never read a verse where punishment was meted out, other than homosexuals being run out of the Southern kingdom during the reigns of Asa and Jehoshaphat, but nothing else.

You bet Ron. Capital punishment was intended as a deterrent to serious law-breaking, such as murder and incest. And if law enforcement/the courts behaved like they meant business, the heinous crimes taking place everywhere would virtually vanish. God knew what He was doing.

We have friends in Sumatra. I would not call Indonesia moderate. Here’s a good one for you. Homosexual practice is not illegal in Indonesia but persecuted. It IS illegal in Malaysia but NOT persecuted. Go figure. At least the Indons don’t throw them off buildings to death. Cup half full.

Gays being caned in Aceh…what’s that all about?

you dont need to be muslim to agree with this. Due to the number of fagots, gays, homos in the west, your government is bringing millions of muslim macho men to replace them. If gays legalized “gay marriage”, then muslims can legalize sharia law too

That last sentence is a good point.

Except that “gay marriage” is about giving people equality with heterosexual couples in some sense (though I’m not pro gay marriage)

Sharia on the other hand is a barbaric and oppressive set of rules based on millennia old superstitions and the words of a man who I have zero respect for and if applied will have a negative effect on all of us. And while I do not support “gay marriage”, I also do not support throwing gays off of roofs or caning them. And I also do not support the stoning of rape victims, FGM, blasphemy laws etc.

1. I do not support gay orgies with dozens, if not hundreds of men.
2. Unless the law states this is illegal, then on what grounds were they arrested? what crime did they commit?
3. If Indonesia is a civilized nation, ruling its people, under the law, then this action certainly negates the very laws they rule under. Indonesia should be held accountable, its government held as pariahs, and its citizens prevented from traveling to any nation under secular law.
Perhaps then they will allow their adult citizens the right to associate with other adults in any way they see fit.
