Democrats, Not Republicans, at the Rotten Core of the Russian Trail

Lost among the shuffle and furor of frenzied media reporting about President Donald Trump’s so-called coziness with Russia is this tiny fact: The trail of U.S.-Russian ties actually leads to Democrats.

Democratic lobbyists, in fact.

Story continues below advertisement

Just look at the K Street trail of money as proof. K Street is the corridor of real power in Washington, D.C., where lobbyists push special interests onto congressional members — lobbyists with clients like foreign governments.

And they’re threatened by Trump’s independent-minded approach to governing. Why?

If Trump drains the swamp, as he’s promised, K Street would lose business and crumble. And Democrats, most notably, would suffer.

Look at this, from Forbes:

“The media has focused not on K Street but on the Russian ties of President Donald Trump’s associates. They list the reprehensible Kremlin-associated figures for whom members of his inner circle worked, the most notorious being Viktor Yanukovich, the deposed president of Ukraine, and fugitive oligarch, Dymtro Firtash. But both of these “repulsive” figures were also advised by Democratic top dogs, who likely earned large multiples of what the ‘small fry’ Trump associates took home.

“In pushing its Manchurian-candidate-Trump narrative, the media fail to mention the much deeper ties of Democratic lobbyists to Russia. Don’t worry, the media seems to say: Even though they are representing Russia, the lobbyists are good upstanding citizens, not like the Trump people. They can be trusted with such delicate matters.

“The media targeted former Trump campaign manager, Paul Manafort, for consulting for deposed Ukrainian president’s (Yanukovich’s) Party of the Regions. He also worked for billionaire oligarch, Firtash, who stands accused of skimming billions in the Ukraine gas trade in league with Russian oligarchs. The media also singled out Trump’s former national security advisor, General Michael Flynn, for attending a dinner with Putin and appearing on Russia’s foreign propaganda network RT. Trump’s own Russian ties were the subject of intense media coverage of an unverified opposition-research report purportedly prepared by an ex-British spy, who remains in hiding. It seems no enterprising reporter has tried to find him.

“The media’s focus on Trump’s Russian connections ignores the much more extensive and lucrative business relationships of top Democrats with Kremlin-associated oligarchs and companies. Thanks to the Panama Papers, we know that the Podesta Group (founded by John Podesta’s brother, Tony) lobbied for Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank. “Sberbank is the Kremlin, they don’t do anything major without Putin’s go-ahead, and they don’t tell him ‘no’ either,” explained a retired senior U.S. intelligence official. According to a Reuters report, Tony Podesta was “among the high-profile lobbyists registered to represent organizations backing Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovich.” Among these was the European Center, which paid Podesta $900,000 for his lobbying.

“That’s not all: The busy Podesta Group also represented Uranium One, a uranium company acquired by the Russian government which received approval from Hillary Clinton’s State Department to mine for uranium in the U.S. and gave Russia twenty percent control of US uranium. The New York Times reported Uranium One’s chairman, Frank Guistra, made significant donations to the Clinton Foundation, and Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for one speech from a Russian investment bank that has “links to the Kremlin that was promoting Uranium One stock.” Notably, Frank Giustra, the Clinton Foundation’s largest and most controversial donor, does not appear anywhere in Clinton’s “non-private” emails. It is possible that the emails of such key donors were automatically scrubbed to protect the Clinton Foundation.”

There’s more — much more.

But are you starting to see why the left hates Trump with such vigor?

From Forbes, once agai:

“Let’s not leave out fugitive Ukrainian oligarch, Dymtro Firtash. He is represented by Democratic heavyweight lawyer, Lanny Davis, who accused Trump of “inviting Putin to commit espionage” (Trump’s quip: If Putin has Hillary’s emails, release them) but denies all wrongdoing by Hillary.”

Dems are most corrupt and Russian “links” to Trump are just distraction to divert attention from their own corruption and links with questionable lobbyists.

Politicians, bureaucrats and police are on payroll of Muslim Lobbyists to further their islamisation and subversive agenda.

Like Dems selling out American interests for thousands throw their way by iranian Lobbyists to support nuke deal http://tinyurl.com/mcake4d

I hate to say this, but on planet reality,Trump is now vulnerable to impeachment. We can debate how he got here, but…
IMHO he got himself here through that off the hip style and mismanagement. It’s not like a private corporation where the CEO can exert influence downwardly quite easily. I think basically he just didn’t realize that.

My advice is go with Pence. He is a respectable conservative, who may very well have a similar agenda.

Trump can survive this. He is being tried in the court of public opinion, not a court of law. As Trey Gowdy said, “..we’re a long ways from a conviction, the fact is we simply have a headline in the New York Times.” We read that the NYT has seen the Comey memo, but the memo has not been produced. And even if it were it’s still just a memo, it’s not a recording or a witness account. It will remain he said he said. And further, if Comey had evidence of obstruction of justice and did not come forward with it immediately he himself is guilty of a crime.

The real crimes here are the leaks and the unmasking which we know Trump is not responsible for. I hope that somehow all these cries for a special investigation backfire on the dems and some appropriate charges are leveled for those real crimes. This could still get good.

That is a good place for the Special Counsel to check out. Then, the “low hanging fruit” can lead to others in the food chain. That Uranium deal may lead to campaign connections putting it well inside Mueller’s assigned duties.

Trump has nothing to do with hackers or Russians; if he did Comey would have already nailed him.

Ahh, it would be delightful to see the klieg lights turned on the K Street lobbyists who have their hands in the pockets of both major political parties. And should the trail of smelly money from Moscow or elsewhere lead to prominent Democrats … well I hope the RNC will pursue this with gusto.

For some reason there is no serious investigation ito the democrats or the clinton foundation. Why not? Neither is there any discussion of criminal charges against hillary and o’bimbo, again, why not?

Yes, it is Demoncraps that are Russian deep but trying to pin it on a Mr. Trump Goes to Washington.

It’s not amusing anymore…. but getting TREASONOUS. Demoncraps seem to get away with outright treason. In fact, they seem to be getting away with it like – forever.

I have called for this party of COMMUNIST to be BANNED from politics. But it seems half this nation is COMMUNIST in a way they don’t understand.

Let me see, now who was that Kenyan that told the high Russian official, “Tell Vladimir I will have more flexibility after the [2012 Presidential] election.”? Notice also the first name basis in which this cryptic message was couched.

Bingo! The “high official” was technically Putin’s boss at the time. [wink wink, nod nod]

Michael Savage was right when be said the other day the the Liberals were trying to connect Trump to Russia and yelling impeach him because of his ties. The truth is that it’s the Liberals aka Democrats that are the ones who were paid off by Russia. Where’s Maxine Waters, the old bitch clammed up. Wait until the new Director of the FBI starts probing.

Don’t have to wait too long. The recently appointed Special Counsel is the former FBI Director Robert Mueller. Nothing like hiring a fellow who already knows most of the players in this game. Time for some “donkey sweat”.

Looking for a Russian connection? How about the Uranium Payola? Donkey sweating time starts with the instruction to Special Counsel Mueller to “follow the leads wherever they go”. I’d love to see George Soros deposed.
