President Donald Trump on Thursday sent out a scathing tweet about the current political climate, saying the attacks on his White House have reached historic proportions.
“This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history,” Trump tweeted.

His coments came on the heels of an appointment of a special prosector — Robert Mueller — to investigate possible Team Trump ties to Russia during the election season.

“[Trump] added that there was never such a probe into what he called “illegal acts” committed during Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign and former President Barack Obama’s administration.
“‘With all of the illegal acts that took place in the Clinton campaign & Obama Administration, there was never a special councel [sic] appointed!’
“Trump’s comments show the depth of his frustration over the Justice Department’s appointment of former FBI Director Robert Mueller as a special counsel to investigate Russia’s involvement in the U.S. presidential election.
“The tweets stand in stark contrast to the measured reaction issued Wednesday evening by the White House press office.
“A thorough investigation will confirm what we already know — there was no collusion between my campaign and any foreign entity,” Trump said in the Wednesday statement. “I look forward to this matter concluding quickly.”
“Trump has repeatedly blasted the Russia investigation as a politically motivated effort to undermine his election victory. He admitted that was part of the reason he fired FBI Director James Comey, who was overseeing the investigation.
“‘When I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story, it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won,’ he told NBC News last week.
“But the appointment of Mueller means that probe is likely to accelerate — and venture farther outside of Trump’s control.
“The move largely will take Justice Department leaders away from the sensitive probe and clears the way for Mueller to use broad powers to investigate.
“The White House has long insisted there is no need for a special counsel to lead the Russia inquiry.”

The best defense is to be on offence. Don’t complain about “witch hunt” if you refused to prosecute those who are now “hunting” you. It was Trump who absolved HRC from prosecution even before he took office. Why he allowed existence of “shadow government” of Obama and his ilk? Why he did not “drain the swamp” as promised? Not many days ago I would of disagreed with you. Now I’m seeing the same things you are. Trump is not fulfilling all of his promises and has no intention of it. Our wall is no longer a priority. Truer words were never spoken as those by President Trump on his persecution. But what kind of job can we expect from Robert Mueller? He was the FBI Director who was at the helm when they missed the signals on “the brothers Tsarnaev” (apologies to Dostoevsky) after stern warning s form Russian intel upon their entry into the US from Chechnya. He also missed the signals from Major Hasan at Ft. Hood who had made no secret of his jihadi intentions. It was reported that the FBI only visited the mosque of which the Tsarnaevs were a member on a mission of “outreach”, i.e., subjugation and PR, but never in an investigative capacity.

I know “the Donald” is under constant attack, but I can think of two Presidents who were equally selected for annihilation. Andrew Jackson had to endure really vicious attacks on both him and his wife. Then, there was Nixon who became the perennial target when he defeated a hard core leftist candidate thus earning the eternal hatred of the media. I think the best response is to recount all the vile crap and attribute it to the creeps by name.
