Champs Elysees attacker’s father ‘threatens’ French police

Story continues below advertisementThe father of the gunman who killed a policeman in an attack on Paris’s Champs Elysees this month was arrested after turning up drunk at a police station and threatening officers, a source close to the case said Saturday.
His son, 39-year-old Karim Cheurfi, was killed in a firefight with police that sent tourists on the world-famous boulevard running for cover days before the first round of France’s presidential election.

The father, who was not identified, “came to the police station (in Paris suburb Noisy-le-Grand) drunk and threatened police officers without weapons and without violence,” the source told AFP.
He was also angry that officials in Noisy-le-Grand and nearby Chelles had refused permission for his son to be buried in those towns, the source added. The father was arrested on Friday and was still in police custody on Saturday.
The April 20 shooting, which the Islamic State (IS) group claimed as the work of one of its “fighters”, was the latest in a string of attacks that have claimed 239 lives around France since 2015.

Good question. Maybe when the politicians and extreme left idiots start losing their own family members. Even that is doubtful.
Nobody wants to admit terrorism and Islam are connected.
All we ever hear is Islam has nothing to do with terrorism, it’s peaceful and beautiful.
Those of us that believe otherwise are considered paranoid or racist. Or we hear the stupid saying by Obama and his supporters “keeping people out is not who we are”.

Yes, his father run for President of Afghanistan some time ago, and was a member of Taliban. I agree with you. It’s just ridiculous! Especially interesting was his appearance on Hillary’s election run, when he was placed close to her (she was barking from the stage). Very strange.

In Canada let’s see what happens over Omar Khadr. Watching what is going on here in Ontario I don’t think that Canada is any less dumb than France, just a little behind at this point. If it’s not a sick LGBTQ inspired sex education curriculum it’s Muslims getting special privileges. Just watch for demands for instruction about Islam. At the rate things are going, in time Omar Khadr will be made a senator!

The father was obviously sad that his son died in an unjust shooting with the police. After all his son was what is nowadays called mentally ill, meaning a muzzrat.
