The poisonous fruit of the left’s long march into academia. They have destroyed our universities and colleges, with public school education not far behind. Inculcation, indoctrination and brainwashing. Why do our taxpayer dollars still go to these treasonous machines? WE are funding this public exhibit. We are funding the new Nazi-esque youth movement. The universities are the fifth column. We must not fund it.

U of Alaska: We Won’t Take Down Painting of Beheaded Donald Trump

The painting, created by Prof. Thomas Chung, hangs on campus as part of an art exhibition this month.
But it became controversial after a former adjunct professor, Paul R. Berger, posted the image on Facebook, saying he was “not sure how I want to respond to this.” On one hand, he posted, “first thing that comes to mind is freedom of expression,” but he also noted the university’s exhibit was publicly funded.

Berger’s post soon prompted outrage, including several calls for the university to remove the painting. By deadline, neither Chung nor school officials responded to Heat Street’s request for comment.
But in an interview with the local NBC affiliate, the chair of the University of Alaska Anchorage’s fine arts department defended his decision to keep the painting up.
“If [students] were taking a class at the university and made art that was considered controversial, no matter what their political or religious bent is, we would do our best to protect them and protect their rights to make that kind of work in the institution, whether it would be a student or a faculty,” he said.
The University of Alaska Anchorage has at least one policy in place that “clearly and substantially restricts freedom of speech” on campus, according to the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education.
And in recent years, art has also been censored at the university a handful of times. Nude sketches were covered to avoid offending a church group a few years ago, the Alaska Dispatch News reported, and offended parents also moved a sculpture of a penis, damaging it.
But the university also has a recent history of defending controversial expression. In the early 2000s, administrators defended a professor after a Native American grad student claimed her poem “Indian Girls” was racist. The statement issued by then-president Mark Hamilton is still cited on campus today.
In it, Hamilton wrote: “Opinions expressed by our employees, students, faculty or administrators don’t have to be politic or polite. However personally offended we might be, however unfair the association of the University to the opinion might be, I insist that we remain a certain trumpet on this most precious of Constitutional rights.”

If I were Mr. Evans I would sue for copyright infringement btw – for reasons completely separate from nudity or politics. He needs to show that he has an interest in protecting his rights to his image. They might come back with a public-figure fair use (b/c He portrayed Captain America, therefore F’ him) but if he demanded a license fee – plus damages for not asking permission (assuming that’s the case), he would then protect his image from some uses, and his value would go up.

Simple test: What would they do if the painting depicted Mohammad decapitating Jesus? A terrorist decapitating a child? Batman decapitating Pelosi or Schumer? … They would wet their panties. It would be hate speech, incitement, provocative, controversial, and of course – for Batman – copyright or trademark infringement.
Bottomline – Lietards lie – that’s what they do. This has nothing to do with free speech – it is simply naked hatred for civilization and an expression of violent bigotry against anti-violent Americans.

let’s all imagine if “professor” chung pulled this stunt with obola….he would still be in prison for a hate crime, and never allowed on an american campus again. the time has come to close american academia, and let employers educate and train their workforce under the old master and apprentice program whereby a young man signs up to work for free for 7 years in exchange for an education, a diploma, and valuable work education. i am an employer with a masters degree in engineering from a US university, and have observed over 40 years that it would be much more beneficial for the youngsters and employers if employers could take a promising 18-year and make money off them for 7 years in exchange for educating them and making them a useful, valuable 25 year old. the odds are the 25-year would stay with me, and we’d both be better off. this approach would rid us of tens of thousands of useless, overpaid, democrat, “professors” and the bloated pigs we call state universities.

There is a great deal of mental illness at the University. So much so that they have a special part of the budget dedicated to that alone. You can’t make this stuff up. Go to page 55 of the University budget: (that’s PDF page 63) Or, search the document for “mental”. 🙂 Hilarious!!!!!

We moved to the Territory of Alaska in 1954, was there when it became a state, and always considered Alaskans to be conservative, pioneer types who lived there because they love the country and what it offers. With every right comes a responsibility and threatening the life of the President, either directly or indirectly, does not qualify as protected speech under the First Amendment any more than does solicitation of murder or incitement to riot. By the same token, the Second Amendment does not protect indiscriminate murder or massacre. Shut off the federal funding to such institutions as this and UC-“Berserkeley”.

Won’t take it down. Ok, no public funding for U of A. Zero. What if that painting were in reverse with Trump holding Hillary’s head. The MSM would station camera crews on campus round the clock encouraging rioters to take it down and calling for the resignation of the fine arts chair person. There is a major issue here. This is not art, it is political and hate represented and disguised as art, and no matter how “artistically” one would like to portray mutilation and murder, it is still abhorrent. To the staff and student body at The University of Alaska at Anchorage, you should be ashamed to display such a tacky cartoonish political statement as it decreases the reputation of the college to a joke in extremely poor taste.
