An Iranian 21-year-old has been sentenced to death after ‘insulting the prophet’ of Islam on an instant messaging app.
Sina Dehghan was 19 when he was arrested by the Iranian revolutionary guard at a military barracks in Tehran in October 2015 for insulting the national religion on the messaging app LINE.
Human rights activists claim that Dehghan was fooled into singing his own confession under the belief that he would be released without punishment if he did so.
But after signing the confession, prosecutors dropped the agreement and kept Dehghan incarcerated at Arak Prison.
His death penalty was confirmed in January when it was upheld in the country’s Supreme Court, according to the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI).
‘During his interrogation, Sina was told that if he signed a confession and repented, he would be pardoned and let go,’ a source told CHRI. ‘Unfortunately, he made a childish decision and accepted the charges. Then they sentenced him to death.’
The content of Dehghan’s messages is unknown.
The source said that authorities got Dehghan to confess on camera as well, and that authorities told his family that if they kept quiet about the charges, Dehghan would be more likely to be freed.
‘Unfortunately, the family believed those words and stopped sharing information about his case and discouraged others from sharing it as well,’ the source said.
Branch 1 of the Criminal Court in Arak had asked that Dehghan be sentenced to death for ‘insulting the prophet’ as well as 16 months in prison for ‘insulting the supreme leader’….

A perfect example of Taqiyya, lying to advance the cause of Islam, and really, he should have known. My question to Islamists:
Do you believe in: (1) Beating of women? Qur’an 4:34. (2} Muhammed said, wife beating is part of the doctrine of Islam. Dawud 21:42. America objects to wife beating and all of our laws prohibit it. Americans don’t want people coming here who will live their lives outside our law. This is only one reason to object to sharia law.
Islamic doctrine supports slavery, torture, submission of Kafirs (people who don’t believe in doing all these things), wife beatiing and political assasination. I do not reject Muslims, not at all! So, I ask: (1) Do you support wife beating and political assasination? If you say, “No!” I must ask why you support Islam that contains those elements? No one needs to say they aren’t skilled in the Sira, Qur’an or Hadiths to determine these things. All you need to do is consult with Imam Google! Just try Googling, “Islam wife beating.” So, I’m not bad mouthing Muslims or even Islam. What I AM badmouthing is wife beating, inferiority of women, killing of Kafirs and political assinations and I don’t want any of those kinds of “imigrants” in my country. I can also say that I condemn the Sunna of Muhammed, the Qur’an, the Sira and Hadiths, and they are WRONG about the elements of wife beating, inferiority of women, killing of unbelievers or apostates or other political assisnations. I want none of this in my country of which I am a citizen.
My Muslim friend, do YOU agree with these elements that I am opposed to? Do you CONDEMN the Sira, Sunna, Sharia, Qur’an and Hadiths that approve of such customs?

I think he should have known better too. But we should rapidly ask people who seem to be sympathetic to Islam the questions I have posed above. Dialogue has the potential to bring the problems to a solution.

So, the Islamic authorities lied. What a complete and utter surprise. Now a young man has to die. For what. It seems that the criteria for insulting Islam is getting broader and broader every day. Soon having a Starbuck’s coffee will be considered ‘an insult to the prophet’ because you must recite some insane verse before drinking.

Great show case on Islam, but Pamula Geller, you don’t get it either. Islam is a theocracy with many substates like Saudi Arabia, etc. It is not a religion. I wish you would stop promoting this lie, as it help Islam Muslims to build their Trojan horse bigger.

Spgg, It is helpful to find others who see, the evil truth of Islam. We need to get everyone else educated. Even Pam, has islamic friends and does not see fully, Note, that even the nice ones will conform to the really bad ones when the numbers are big enough. They are using what the call a grand jihad here in America, until their numbers are big enough, and then the will open The Trojan horse door.

How is it possible to insult a dead man? Who comes up with these silly rules? How would that ever change things? Its like insulting a fish that is considered holy or a cow or a snake. What difference does it make? To make someone into a idol in which he is not or to boldly expose their lies…I’d think the latter…
