Why would Mayor Louras have to plot in secret? Because he knew what he planned was evil and would be wholly rejected by rational folks who understood the threat such a plan represented. And this is notoriously leftist Vermont, Bernie Sanders’ state.

Last May, Louras’ secret plan came to light in the Boston Globe, which said: “Louras made no apologies for excluding the public from the planning. If the proposal had been floated earlier, the mayor said, the debate would have become ‘about them’ — meaning the Syrians, their culture, and possible links to terrorism — instead of whether the city had the means to accommodate the refugees.”
Yes, and they couldn’t possibly have had a public discussion about whether the migrants had possible links to terrorism. That would have been “Islamophobic.”
Well, now, even in Vermont — Vermont! — this arrogant and authoritarian mayor has received his comeuppance: he has been voted out. Bravo, Rutland voters.

Rutland Mayor Chris Louras, who endured months of withering criticism for his plan to bring Syrian refugees to the city, lost his reelection bid on Tuesday.
In unofficial voting results, David Allaire, a city alderman and leading critic of the resettlement, trounced Louras, a 10-year mayoral incumbent, by a 776-vote margin, according to results cited by the Rutland Herald and WCAX-TV.
“I’m simply wishing him luck and I’m moving on,” Louras told Seven Days Tuesday night. He declined further comment, saying he would “not hazard a guess” as to what the election results say about Rutland’s support for refugees.
Allaire did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
While Louras campaigned on a series of issues, and touted a reduction in many categories of crime, along with an improved downtown business district, the refugee debate has dominated political life in Rutland for the past year.
Louras had beaten Allaire in two previous mayoral elections.
A Rutland native, Louras reached out to refugee resettlement officials in late 2015 and hatched a proposal to bring 100 refugees from Syria and Iraq to the city, which has been losing population for decades. The mayor pitched the plan, without consulting the Board of Aldermen, as a humanitarian imperative and economic development initiative.
He faced a fierce backlash from many residents and aldermen, some of whom engaged in nativist rhetoric. Reporters from across the state and country descended on the city.
After months of conflict, Louras in September appeared to have scored a legacy-defining victory when the U.S. State Department announced that Rutland had been approved as a resettlement site and would begin accepting refugees. But President Donald Trump’s executive orders cracking down on immigration from Syria and other Muslim countries scuttled the plan. Only two Syrian families made it to Rutland.
Allaire always insisted he is not anti-refugee, but he led the charge to investigate whether Louras broke any laws in his handling of the proposal.
“We’ve had a difficult time getting any information from the mayor’s office or the refugee resettlement folks. It seems to be all cloak and dagger, behind the scenes,” Allaire, a sales manager for Interstate Batteries, told Seven Days last month….

America would not be losing population if its government gave benefits to its own citizens like it does to immigrants and refugees. American citizens do not have more children because they cannot afford them, or to school them. Instead of helping their own citizens, government brings in refugees who have six children to the one or two the Americans have. This is how the left thinks. Remember it well.
Anyway, the world should all watch its population. Do you know how many people are already on the planet, and how quickly it got to this number? So, all resources are renewable? Is that what people think? I don’t know what has happened to our minds. Actually, I do know what happened to us.

I feel like a ping-pong ball. I’m well aware of how the left thinks; the Democratic Party was my home for years. I supported Obama and voted for Bernie in the primaries, and then Hillary, in swing state of NC. Words will never do justice the horror of election night at my house.
Since that election I’ve researched Islam extensively. It’s actually easy to verify accuracy of reports, it just takes some work. I did not ever want to visit the Dark Side (Fox, Breitbart).
I despise racism and thought my fellow Americans were racists and all around bad people. I WAS WRONG. I’m glad Hillary lost, that is just how bad Islam/Muslims are. These people (no not all) are extremely dangerous even in small numbers. Have you noticed just how many Islamic organizations there are? Muslims currently make up approx. 1.5% of the total American population. That % should never, ever rise. Obama is arguably the worst traitor this country has known. But George W. also said “Islam is the religion of peace.”
Muslims LIVE to breed us out of existence. It’s in their Quran and Hadith. I don’t trust any of these politicians, but by God Trump and Bannon need this ban on Muslim immigration to happen. Democrats are as insane as the right-wing radicals. GOP I hope you know what you are doing. The entire govt is yours. I discovered that I love my country and even the right-wingers. Europe is lost.
I support Trump and Christian Secularism. Immigration is GREAT..if they are from our own culture. You know, people who don’t think raping a child is a good thing. Western civilization!!

Good. At least it’s a start. More and more will follow. We are not putting up with being forced to accept a tenet that is full of sick, medieval ideals. These ideals have been frowned upon here and there are laws against them. We will not compromise with intolerant people that have no intention of assimilating with us and are bent on our destruction. This not hate. This is common sense and self preservation, our best defences. You cannot sacrifice the truth because some people may suffer from it.

Is Vermont a blue state? Did a majority of its voters not vote in former President Obama? What did former President do to various cities and states throughout the country? Nebraska? Did HE pay attention to resources, to jobs? I do not think so.
Vermont thinks it is an exclusive enclave of intelligentsia elites. I am not the only one who has noted. You cannot hide. The table has been set, and by this or that, we will all sit down and partake of what is before us.

This suggests this guy was getting something out of his plans. It may be that he was doing it on his own but its not that likely he would hide it. What is motivating leaders to do things like this is probably found in some secret account offshore or even at the nearest bank.

This deposed mayor was trying to do the same thing Obama and Hillary tried in this last election: Champion enough immigrants who will vote for you and you might wind up with a permanent majority of votes in your favor. It’s just another quest to remain in power. It totally ignores what is best for the community. The top 28 countries that have a 90% or higher population of Muslims, have an average IQ of 80.5. This is a poison pill for any community in America. To get their children through our school system we would have to drastically lower requirements for graduation, or have some type of effective segregation (which will never happen in the USA). And what would you do with the adults who can’t learn the more technical jobs that are available? How many more trash collectors or hamburger flippers do most communities need? The answer to that is that most communities that are overloaded with Muslim “refugees” will take on a permanent welfare burden!

Good info at this link! It seems to stress the Muslim efforts to decrease illiteracy, which I can wholly agree with. That is a worthwhile goal; to reduce illiteracy. But, as long as their religion condones and sanctions incest, their average IQ will remain low. Literacy will not improve that.!

The risk of having an IQ lower than 70 (criterion for being “retarded”) increases 400% among children from cousin marriages.” I did a study on sub-Saharan black Africans and their average IQ by nation is 72.3 (excluding Mediterranean countries and nearby Islands). The governor of Minnesota is collecting a horde of Somalis over the objections of many in his State. The consequences of that will last into the far future. Black Americans have an average IQ of 85, and those who intermarry with these Somalis will be committing cultural suicide. I might remind anyone else who is reading this that “statistics” are not “racial”!

Such statistics is hard evidence against assimilation of western culture with islamics. In the case of islamics not wanting to a assimilate with others, it is a blessing in disguise. Of course you know there was a lot of flak that was produced by evidence in a book called “the bell curve” years ago. It is obvious to anyone though, using the cliche “half a brain”, to see that interactions between cultures must be two-way and actually possible. Statistics backs it up for the difficult to please especially the leftists. However they may never want to admit it. Historically interactions of the islamic culture with others have always meant they were the barbarian conquerors. Today they are not much further along though they have evolved somewhat with western technology that unfortunately is often used to supplement their destructive ways.

Well now immigrants do bring jobs. More Police, Councilers, interpreters, Doctors, Nurses, and Morticians. I don’t know if the government will subsidize any of them but they probably are going to be needed.
My problem is with these liberal politicians who go behind their constiuants backs because they think only they know what’s right. Whether it’s right or wrong it’s not their city, it belongs to all the citizens and they should always be informed of plans that will affect them.
This seems to be happening more and more these days. I don’t know if politicians have lost touch or if they’ve become so arrogant that they feel untouchable. It our job as citizens to continue to show them that we have a voice and an opinion and vote them out when they go against our wishes.

The best strategy is to name the issue, not say that Louras might have broken laws in order to defeat him. Just say that Louras is of the population replacement scheme mentality of the EU and Angela Merkle to replace the native population with aliens hostile to American and Western society. I think the hostility is apparent, given Ilhan Omar’s hatred of and hostility for America. I was evicted from my apartment in Williamsburg by my landlady who claimed I “jeopardized” her tenants, many of them Muslim families, because of my books (on Amazon), in addition to her not liking my referring to Muslimas as broodmares. Louras was in the scheme for the money, and our government pretty “generous” with it to anyone, like Louras, who’s willing to sell out. It’s a good thing to hear that Rutland will not become another Lewiston, Maine (SomaliTown), or a Dearborn, Michigan.
