Readying their armies for more savagery in the streets.

“ACLU launches nationwide training on protest, resistance,” Associated Press, March 11, 2017:

CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) — The American Civil Liberties Union staged a nationwide training event Saturday to make sure people are aware of their rights as protesters and urge organized, public resistance by those opposed to policies of President Donald Trump.

Organizers said the event at a sports arena on the University of Miami campus was livestreamed to locations in all 50 states. ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero said 200,000 people had signed up to attend one of an estimated 2,000 local events.

The event, staged in town hall style, was aimed at capitalizing on numerous demonstrations since Trump’s election in November and to make sure people know their rights to protest, Romero said. He said priority issues are immigration, the First Amendment free speech and religious freedom rights, civil and reproductive rights and rights of gay, lesbian and transgender people.

“We will bring all the lawsuits necessary to defend these rights,” Romero said. “We’ll do the work in the courts. You do the work in the streets. People are motivated. They want to be engaged.”

The ACLU also launched a new grassroots online organizing platform called PeoplePower.org. It’s billed as a way for people considering a local protest or rally to connect and coordinate with others around the country with similar intentions, and to provide details of ACLU initiatives.

Another plan is creation of “freedom cities” around the country that would encourage local officials to pass laws resisting Trump policies such as stepped-up deportations of people living in the country illegally, said Faiz Shakir, ACLU national political director.

Other parts of Saturday’s event detailed the rules for demonstrations on streets, sidewalks and in public parks, and the rights people have when arrested such as the right to remain silent. ACLU attorney Lee Rowland said large demonstrations generally require a local permit, but government can’t typically shut down protesters in public places without good reason….

I don’t get why people are looking for all of these complex reasons as to why Trump won. The Democrats simply got locked in on a terrible candidate, wouldn’t even entertain the idea of anyone other than her, and she ran a terrible campaign. She would have lost to anybody. She had no message, no real vision for the future, or any new ideas.

Americans wanted our country back. Our jobs were being taken away. Our healthcare is too expensive. Mine is $600/month now (AND RISING!). My car insurance is still $25 per month (from Insurance Panda), but who knows when our socialist government will come in and muddle that up? Things are getting more and more expensive as it is. Can we really afford to support the world’s homeless?

8 years of lies and even more of Liberal corruption made Trump possible. Thank God we will have some real leadership in office for the next 8 years.

Americans as a whole of so buried in trivia, minutia and an almost competitive knowledge of entertainment (more even than MLB stats), they take to time to concern with what matters. Like the survival of the good ole’ USA.

Nevermind her destroying that email evidence. Or how about how she handled Benghazi. Or, how she has blood on her hands a mile long, etc., etc. No, that couldn’t have kept her from winning.

Yes, I think they are so used to pulling their stunts in big cities, that they have no idea how the 90% of Americans will react. It will not be the walk in the park they are used to.

I hope the training will tell protesters to be civil and peaceful, and do not hurt people, otherwise they shall be sued. I thought the ACLU represented Americans? Two hundred thousand is a sizable number, but millions voted for the President. Millions of people feel that laws should be followed in America. There is nothing bad or wrong wishing for people to follow rules. Our grandparents followed rules. What is the problem?
No one is stepping on people’s freedoms. The issue of abortion will always be a source of disagreement with no solution.
The topic of gay rights, who is stopping the gay people from having rights? Who is harming gay people in America?
What is this nonsense about free speech. America has free speech. The ACLU should spend six months in many countries that do not have free speech.
As for immigration, what is the problem now? Can we have laws? Can we have reasonable quotas for amount of immigrants we take in yearly? Can we track the impact of immigrant crime on US society? Can we assess if resources will be there for the native population as well as immigrants?
The American people want laws and truth, is that a problem?

The protestors are looking for a violent confrontation, they will get it. Best the remember that a few weekend training session are not the same as a life time of living and using assorted recreation devices, such as guns.

Fortunately the ACLU and SPLC are such **transparently** leftist, racist and un-American hate groups. The MSM hasn’t caught on yet, though because they still cite them as a premier sources. That tells us tons about the MSM.

The SPLC was so full of crap that during the Clinton administration, the Clintons kicked them out and couldn’t stand their lies and made up hate stories. Figures the anti-American marxist rat obama would bring them back.

Does the ACLU send it’s agents to help organize conservative protests? And really, if you have to ‘stage a nationwide training event’ to teach people their rights as protestors, maybe those people shouldn’t be protestors in the first place since they are that stupid. Maybe next week, the ACLU can stage an event to teach those same people that policemen are for catching bad guys, firemen put out fires and meds are handed out at 2.

So the ACLU doesn’t believe in obeying the law but instead wants anarchy. I wonder if they ever walk thru in their own mind where this ends up if they get their way? Probably not. The end result will be a complete breakdown of a civil society replaced with Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome or some other brutal dictator. I tend to like living in a civil society so I will do whatever I can to stop these monsters.

Relativism, no right no wrong except for what is in vogue for their clique at that moment. I purposefully subscribed to their newsletter to see what their point of view might be, giving them the benefit of the doubt. I’ve come away with the strongest belief and feeling that the ACLU today is an Organization of hate without constructive ideas. They are totally partisan and aren’t ashamed to show and flaunt it. They see themselves as organizers of a mass movement and trainers to disrupt not only our political establishment but Civil Society; much like the thugs of Occupy Wall Street. The are in no way representative of an Organization seeking their vision of America by challenging existing or proposed laws through the legal system arguing the merits of the Constitutional Interpretation. Some of you seem focused or believe their raison de etre is Anti-Christian. I’m here to tell you that you are only 1/2 right. They are as much Anti-Jewish and possibly anti-ALL Faiths except Islam that given the power to install Sharia would shut up the ACLU permanently.

The ACLU is not the ACLU of Martin Luther King’s Day. They have lost ALL credibility of seeking out application of the Bill of Rights for ALL Americans regardless of which political party is tarnished. I don’t remember them ever calling upon the “masses” to oppose a particular President or Party, especially a President who’s term is less than 100 days and their call went out Day 1.
