Raheem Kassam: British PM Crows About Banning Pamela Geller from UK During Pro-Israel Event

24

The writer [of an government document about her banning] noted that being pro-Israel was not grounds for exclusion, but clearly it was part of the Home Office’s reasoning, or this letter would not have had to have been written. And now May has the brazen gall to equate Islamophobia with anti-Semitism in justifying why I was banned from the country, despite the fact that anti-Semitic hate crimes are far more common than anti-Muslim ones, and Jews present no terror threat.

Raheem Kassam unpacks it for us over at Briitbart London. Read it all here.

British PM Crows About Banning Pamela Geller from UK During Pro-Israel Event

By Raheem Kassam, Breitbart London, December 12, 2016:

Story continues below advertisement

Britain’s Prime Minister Theresa May has bragged in a speech to the Conservative Friends of Israel group about banning a pro-Israel Jewish woman, Pamela Geller, for ‘Islamophobia’.

The faux pas — already noticed by major pro-Israel advocates in Washington, D.C. and Westminster — came on Monday afternoon as Mrs. May announced the government’s endorsement of a definition on anti-Semitism.

But in order to caveat her support for British Jews, Mrs. May reignited a long-standing war of words with U.S. Israel advocate Pamela Geller and her colleague Robert Spencer.

The pair were banned from the United Kingdom when Mrs. May was Home Secretary.

Ostensibly under the guise of “Islamophobia”, Mrs. May excluded the pair who have been both free speech champions and leading advocates against radical Islam.

Writing for Breitbart London today, Ms. Geller struck back, revealing that documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act actually state Ms. Geller may have been excluded due to her pro-Israel and pro-waterboarding views, as much as her activism against radical Islam.

She wrote: “The writer [of an government document about her banning] noted that being pro-Israel was not grounds for exclusion, but clearly it was part of the Home Office’s reasoning, or this letter would not have had to have been written. And now May has the brazen gall to equate Islamophobia with anti-Semitism in justifying why I was banned from the country, despite the fact that anti-Semitic hate crimes are far more common than anti-Muslim ones, and Jews present no terror threat”.

In her speech to the Conservative Friends of Israel group, Mrs. May stated: “Indeed, when I was Home Secretary we took what I believe was an important step in gauging a truer picture of the problem, requiring all police forces to record religious hate crimes separately, by faith.

“And I made sure we kept extremism – including the sort that peddles anti-Semitic vitriol – out of our country.

“That is why I said no to so-called comedians like Dieudonne coming to Britain.

“It’s why I stopped Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer and Pastor Terry Jones coming too – since Islamophobia comes from the same wellspring of hatred.”

Pastor Jones is perhaps best known for his plan to burn Qurans — something the establishment in both the United Kingdom and the United States have cracked down on while seemingly turning a blind eye to the burning of U.S. and British flags over the years.

Concluding, Ms. Geller writes: “How ridiculous Theresa May has become, tying herself into knots at the behest of their would-be executioners. There is no doubt that she will eventually regret taking the course that she and her colleagues have so recklessly chosen for Britain – but by then it will almost certainly be too late”.

Ms. May has already put herself at loggerheads against the incoming Trump administration in the United States. Attacking Ms. Geller, who is a regular contributor for Breitbart.com, is evidently another effort to distance the United Kingdom from the anti-establishment in the U.S., which could in turn scupper a trade deal between the two nations.

Europe: RIP.
Remember people: we’re not dealing with the Europe that used to exist and with which we grew up with. That Europe is gone.
Europe RIP is now an islamist stronghold.

Keep on talking Pamela.
The world needs you.

Yes. I would like to live in a world where Pamela was its leader. That would be a safer place and a world I could work for and believe in, one that would be highly cultured, realistic and likely to progress. It would also provide much needed and well warranted opposition to the Islamic scourge.

In Britain a constant mantra is ” anti-Semitism and Islamophobia “. They are always being linked ; by both Jewish and muslim spokespersons.

Is this a case of irony or hypocrisy? Islum oozes antisemitic sludge in great quantities.

Remember people: Being islamophobic is a good thing. It shows the world that you are awake and fighting back. Be proud of you islamophobia.

I agree with your message.

I want to state and affirm that writing the two words in your comment which end in ‘phobic’ and ‘phobia’ without bounded double quotes gives and encourages legitimacy to the words, though it is tacit, implied.

I felt encouraged when Britain exited EU, but I felt discouraged when May was elected PM. Farage should have been the proper choice. Didn’t May vote remain? I have also noticed that freedom of speech and other freedoms are disappearing in England. Who decides? Who decides which freedoms shall go by the wayside? Removing pictures of women in bathing suits from buses and trains under the guise that it is body shaming. this is the 21st Century. Deciding who may protest and who may not. I have seen protests where the huge crowds are wishing death upon England and upon her soldiers, but that is tolerated, along with the burning of the Flag. On what basis do these politicians decide who comes to their country to speak or to entertain? What does the populace say?
Why is this woman wearing all these scarves? What meaning is that?
The future shall show you what you have not done, what you have allowed.
Europa es finit.

The PM is elected by the governing party. Farage is not a member of the Tory party so he could not be elected
as the Tories would never elect a leader of another party. Get it now?

Farage is UKIP? I can’t believe everyone not-a-muslim in the United Kaliphate isn’t voting UKIP.

It may well happen that more than ever before vote for UKIP from now on. We shall soon see. Although there will not be a General Election for more than 3 years, there will be local elections in the meantime, and I hope and expect UKIP to hoover up a larger than ever number of votes. Of course all the three established parties will be united in trying to do UKIP down, but the beautiful thing about that is the way things have been, it may increase UKIP’s share of the vote.

Thank you conan for the explanation, it does clarify it somewhat.
Was there no one equal to Farage in the Tory party? From the comments below, it appears UKIP is the way to vote. I hope the British will read the writing on the wall. And I hope Italy and France shall follow.

She is also a traitor like her predecessors Blair, Brown and Cameron. All of them support the rights of Muslims at the expense of the British people.

May was once my preferred candidate but now she has shown her true colours and she is a Muslim/Islam apologetic.
Muslims hate Jews. Muslims want to kill and maim Jews and Christians wherever they find them. This is not Islamophobic as there is not such thing as Islam been a phobia. Muslims/Islam are responsible for the major wars in the middle east, most if not all terrorist attacked in the west. The take over of countries in the west such as Sweden, France, Germany and all the rest. This is not a phobia, this is what is happening with more than enough facts to prove it. Why do Jews, Christians, Hindus and Buddhists for instance not go around bombing Mosques or Muslim schools and if they did would this be a phobia for Muslims? The fear that they would be bombed, if that was happening, would not be a phobia it would be an actual fear. If westerners fear Islam and its evil, that is called phobia when it is an actual clear and present danger. Muslims have no Non Muslim Phobias as non Muslims do not behave in this manner! But this may soon change as fire needs to be fought with fire. Try asking a Muslim not to hate you and see what happens. The world has gone mad as democracies dash like lemmings to their doom, shouting ‘political correctness’ as their motive. For Muslims the self destruction and murder is called Jihad that is their ticket to ‘paradise’.

[Insane–ryhmes with inane–aside: I had to test whether I am banned at B-bart before writing this comment. Without a list, it’s hard to remember banning from boycott, both beginning with ‘b’s.]

Now, I forgot what I was….I apologize. To borrow from and to paraphrase the legendary Bob Grant: It’s insane out there!…and getting insaner!

It has been, I can only estimate, about two years since I “wrote off” Britain, that is, decided that they–collectively–had gone over the edge, political and societal.

This is for whomever is tasked with Quality Control.

The form of the opening paragraph implies that “Pamela Geller” wrote the opening paragraph.

Raheem Kassam quotes Pamela Geller in his B-bart piece.

“Pamela Geller” quotes Raheem Kassam in the opening paragraph.–he added the clarification that appears within square brackets ‘[ ]’. In other words, “Pamela Geller” quotes “Raheem Kassam”‘s piece without attribution.

I am not applying for Quality Control.

I do not know whether such a mistake is actionable.
