Newsmax: “75 Most Influential Jewish Republicans”

51

Newsmax has issued it’s list of the “75 Most Influential Jewish Republicans”, and yours truly emerges at …. #60.

Although how Geraldo Rivera makes this list is beyond me. If he’s a Jew or a Republican, I’m a monk. And if he’s influential, I’ll eat my hat.

Outside of that misstep, it’s an interesting list.

“75 Most Influential Jewish Republicans”
By Jim Meyers, Newsmax, 22 Jun 2015 15:21 PM

In 1992, Republican President George H.W. Bush won just 11 percent of the Jewish vote in his unsuccessful re-election bid against Bill Clinton.
By 2008, GOP candidate John McCain brought in 22 percent of the Jewish vote, and in 2012 Mitt Romney won 31 percent of that vote, clearly indicating Republicans have been gaining support in the Jewish-American community.

Another sign of growing GOP support among Jews, in large part due to dissatisfaction with President Barack Obama’s policies toward Israel: In April, the Jewish Republican Coalition hosted 800 members at its annual spring meeting at Sheldon Adelson’s Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas. Two years ago, the same gathering drew less than 400.

Now, Newsmax takes a look at the “75 Most Influential Jewish Republicans.”

No Jewish American is likely to be more influential when it comes to election cycles than Adelson himself.

The chairman and CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corp., whose holdings include the Venetian, is worth more than $31 billion, according to Forbes. He reportedly contributed $100 million to Republicans in the 2012 election cycle, and has vowed to once again spend heavily in support of the GOP in 2016.

Listed below are Newsmax’s 75 Most Influential Jewish Republicans. A caveat: Not everyone on the list may actually be a registered Republican. But these are individuals who have a public identity as a Republican or lean heavily toward Republican.

1. Sheldon Adelson, billionaire businessman and major Republican donor.

Pamela, I almost fell out of chair laughing at this remark you made: “How Geraldo Rivera makes this list is beyond me. If he’s a Jew, I’m a monk. And if he’s influential, I’ll eat my hat.”

How do they figure Geraldo with the Poncho Villa mustache, makes the list of Jewish Republicans?

Actually Geraldo IS both !
1/2 Jewish 1/2 Puerto Rican
That’s Just a FACT !
In his ‘former life’ Geraldo was known as Jerry Rivera

WHY are you separating the Jewish people from people like myself, a non Jew. Somehow I don’t think that’s helpful. Stop already with this Identity Politics.

Because he is on the list of Jewish Republicans? Are you on the list? I’m with Pamela on being curious why he is on the list. It has nothing to do with you.

This is why it is curious to some people, it’s nothing personal:

No Roger I am not on the list…I already stated that I am a non Jew. The List of Influential Jews is Impressive. The Jews listed have worked for all of man kind. You sir, are wondering what Geraldo did for the Jews ? So working for mankind and separating Jews from the list of mankind isn’t helpful to anyone.

Most of the time what is good for the Jews is good for mankind, and bad for Nazis, islamofascists, and murdering filistini dogs. Pick a side. The time for choosing is upon us.

We don’t need to PICK sides the right side is obvious to decent people, and it’s not a matter of being on the side of the Jews or not,the Jews happen to be on the side of decency like the rest of us we do not make decisions in this country based on the opinions of Netanyahu or the Jewish lobby, but rather at least I hope so on the side of decency and civilization.

sandra schmidt
sandra schmidt

If the “right side” is obvious, why wouldn’t you choose to be on that side? There is no state of “decency”. There is no army of “decency”. I support the US Constitution and the State of Israel.

ISIS, Obama, the Saudis, Black Panthers, filistinis, Muslim Bros, Iranian government, etc. are enemies of freedom. Most decent people know that.

Geraldo is a legend in his and his fans minds, he’s always claimed to be of jewish descent.
geraldo made news exposing pro wrestling as fake, he apparently thought that was news.
Geraldo then got into the face of a wrestler and yelled calling him a fake and a phony, the wrestler gave geraldo mild backhand and said is that fake, geraldo flew to the floor and came back for more. Geraldo is narrow minded.

Intrusive? To question why you have a hard time to admit your obvious mis-recollection? Or for asking who are these others that support your erroneous claim? Nuts? You obviously have personal issue’s with admitting mistakes and instead of manning up to them you chose instead juvenile ad hominem attacks. Good riddance!

I Googled ” rivera slapped by wrestler”. No video with Geraldo Rivera being slapped by a wrestler comes up. So why don’t you provide a link here for all of us to witness that video of Giraldo being slapped by wrestler or just admit NO such video exists to cause such a ‘common’ mis-recollection or mystery. Perhaps some other commenter confused Giraldo with Stossel but that doesn’t make it common or based on some mysterious video which doesn’t exist. You’re still in denial mode.

He’s Jewish by birth only. According to Jewish law, a Jew is Jewish if the mother is Jewish.. Which is the case with him. Not really trying to educate here. Just sayin’….I think that’s what meant by JINO… Although he uses no Jewish name. Obviously really does not seem to identify with the cultural/religious aspect.

.I didn’t know what an Anti-Zionist was until meeting some ‘Jewish’ Anti-Zionist co-workers who are by no means Anti-Semitic, which wouldn’t make sense, nor are they Hassids. They’re a crew of Anti-Zionist Jews who believe Zionism is mismanaged and not at all transparent here or in Israel.
Anyway, for me? I remain Israel 1st but wish that more Jewish people would speak up for Pamela Gellar, Brigitte Gabriel and John Guandolo in their efforts to educate people on Islam’s inherent mandate to Jihad until dominant over all other cultures in our world… meaning that there is no real ‘moderate’ Muslim, just those who are either ignorant or waiting for their numbers to increase before they subject their neighbors to Theocratic tyranny.

He also has had some very nasty things to say about Pamrla. The only thing I would give him credit for is… Finding Al Capone’s empty vault & getting his nose broken on national TV. Who’s the bigger Clown Rivera or Trump, That is what any poll (that includes him), should be about.
