They might just be trying to strike terror into the hearts of Allah’s enemies, as the Quran commands (8:60) — ISIS routinely issues more threats than it follows through upon. But does it have plans for jihad against Israel? Of course. Islamic Jew-hatred: it’s in the Quran.

According to reports, the Islamist group Sinai Province, formerly knows as Ansar Bait al-Maqdis, “threatened to strike the Eilat Port, following coordination with Islamic State’s wing in the Gaza Strip.”
“ISIS will begin operations against Hamas positions in the Gaza Strip,” the Egyptian reports added. Tensions between the Islamist group ruling the coastal Palestinian enclave and ISIS have mounted amid waves of arrests by the former of Salafi-jihadists in Gaza linked to Islamic State.
Abu Othman Al-Mosley, one of the leaders of the northern Sinai group took to the ‘Sinai Province’ Facebook page, calling for its members to “enlist new members from jihadist factions and the Muslim Brotherhood organization in other provinces of Egypt.” In addition, he called for new recruits to emigrate to the Sinai region in order to operate against opposing Egyptian security forces.
In addition, the call urged the ISIS-aligned terrorists in Sinai to “make their way to the Gaza Strip to fight against Hamas’s military branch, the Izzadin al-Kassam Brigades, and takeover control of the Strip.”
Sinai Province changed its name from Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis after pledging allegiance to Islamic State, the ultra-hardline Sunni group that has seized large parts of Iraq and Syria.

There is a reason firemen use water to put out fires: water is an ash, what is left over when the oxidizing agent oxygen and the reducing agent hydrogen react with each other completely.
As such, water has very little energy per pound relative to what the original hydrogen gas and oxygen gas had.
Think of the energy of each substance plotted on a graph. Hydrogen and oxygen, both up high. Water down low.
Now build a large science fair exhibit out of clay, with a surface in the shape of that graph. Put some heavy bowling balls up near where it says “hydrogen” and “oxygen”, and watch them roll down on their own to where it says “water”.
But if you start off putting them down where it says “water”, they can’t roll uphill on their own to get back where the “oxygen” and “hydrogen” labels are.
Now, if you can somehow fasten strings to a bowling ball (without interfering with its rolling motion,) so that the ball tugs the string as it descends from the “oxygen” and “hydrogen” labels down to the “water” label, you can tie the other end of the string to the chain on a cuckoo clock, and thereby let the bowling ball wind your cuckoo clock for you. (i.e. perform useful work.)
Similarly, when hydrogen (or carbon, or some combination of the two, like methane, CH4, or propane, C3H8) burns with oxygen, you can extract useful work from it, to drive your car. But the reverse is not true. The bowling ball at rest cannot roll uphill on its own, and the water cannot do anything for you, other than water your plants.
What might be confusing you is this:
The science above is for chemical reactions.
For nuclear reactions, hydrogen is at the very top of a very, very long graph, far above helium, which in turn is far above everything else.
Energy per pound converting hydrogen into helium via a thermonuclear reaction is a million times, in round numbers, higher than what you get burning hydrogen chemically with oxygen to produce water.
So with thermonuclear power, you can use electricity to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen, (a process that consumes energy,) throw the oxygen away, turn the hydrogen into helium, collect the energy that results, use some of it for electricity to separate more water, and still have plenty of energy left over to drive your car.
The problem with this is that, after more than half a century of trying, and millions of dollars spent in the USA, in the USSR, and in Europe, no one knows how to do this, even for a thermonuclear power plant as large as a modern commercial power plant.
We know in principle in can be done, because the sun does it every day of the week. But we don’t have containers that can hold a pressure like that in the interior of the sun, and do it at a temperature as hot as the interior of the sun.
So it would take two technological revolutions, each as important in its own way to the semiconductor revolution in Silicon Valley, to build your “water car”.
The first would be to make the hydrogen-to-helium reaction work for a large power plant, so we could have electricity for our homes, offices, and factories.
The second would be to miniaturize the first technology, so that you could drive a “water car”.
That is why people were initially so excited about Fleischmann and Pons’ claim, in the late 90s, to have developed a way to do the hydrogen-to-helium reaction near room temperature, by catalyzing the reaction with platinum, iridium, and/or other noble metals. And their purported technology came already miniaturized, skipping the first step.
But despite the fact that platinum, et al., can certainly catalyze many reactions, both chemical and thermonuclear, no in 15 years of trying, (and there was a lot of effort on this in the early years, in many different countries,) no one has been able to reproduce their “cold fusion” results.
And so most people today think that they were honestly mistaken in their findings. The less polite sometimes claim they were perpetrating a hoax.

The Syrian tanks outnumbered the Israelis, by 10 to 1, and during that battle, his own tank had been hit twice, but he kept going. The Syrians had superior Russian tanks. They had infrared systems, allowing them to fire at night, which the Israelis did not yet have. But, in the face of all this, he managed to get the Syrians to flee. At the end of the battle at the Valley of Tears, the place was littered with Syrian tanks. And the tactics he used in that battle are taught today. I have GREAT admiration and respect for that man. He is a HERO.
