Farm Chicks Blog Hop Winner and Great DT Samples

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner!  We had a great time with our Farm Chicks Blog Hop earlier this week, and hope you had time to hop along.  If you missed it, you can see all the great projects the design team put together in this blog post.   It appears that Sandy gets the Blue Ribbon prize for this wonderful Digital Art Stamp Set, as you were all very enthusiastic in your comments.  Thanks so much for hopping with us.  Now we need to announce the winner of the hop:

SueD was one of only TWO hoppers who remembered to leave a comment on every blog, and her winning comment was pulled from Melody's blog where she said:

"Love this card design inside and out. the pink gingham and burlap are perfect."

Congrats, Sue!  You win your very own set of our Farm Chicks Digital Art Stamps and our Chicken Farm embossed paper, too!

I'm excited to let you know that even as I write this, Sandy is putting together another incredible farm themed stamp set with stunning images and clever sentiments.  It will be released soon, and we'll share it along with some samples to get your creative juices flowing.

Yesterday was Earth Day, and I spotted a couple of great upcycling projects that our clever design team ladies have made lately.  I wanted to share them with you here in honor of Earth Day.

Michele Kovack upcycled an ugly berry basket and made this beautifully embellished spring home decor project using our Victorian Easter Egg Scraps.  I know we are past Easter, but this is such a pretty project that I would be tempted to leave it out until summer rolled in!

Ginny Nemchak upcycled a bit of scrap wood and turned it into this cheery retro wall hanging.  She  used our Domestic Goddess Creative Scraps.  I love the color palette, the shiny pop of the red buttons and those fabby vintage aprons, too! Her papers are from our Creating with Vintage Patterns CD and are the perfect match for the aprons.  Wouldn't this make a great Mother's Day gift?

This last project is such a cute idea for Mother's Day,  a bachelorette party or bridesmaid's luncheon.  Melody used a stamp from our Sew Fashionista set and papers from the Radiant Collection to make this clever corset card. Melody has all the details on her blog.

Oh, and I wanted to remind you to get ready for our May Linky Party!  It will go live on May 4th, and it's an anything goes as long as you use Crafty Secrets goodies theme.  So better get your craft on and get ready for the party!

On behalf of Sandy Redburn, I wish you joy and creativity!

Cheerio,
kathy
