Do you find working with resin too frustrating? Bubble trouble and all? Or maybe not interested in that medium at all? There is a simple method if you still like the look of real flower jewelry and have pressed some over the summer. This tutorial by Anna Spathari over on Journey into Creativity, uses lamination. Very easy especially if you have a laminating machine.
The tutorial is not in English but I don't think it's necessary to translate it as Anna's photos are very clear.
Note : Anna does not press her flowers first. This is okay if you just want quick earrings. But the flowers will eventually rot inside so please press your flowers first. You can either press them between paper and under some books for a few weeks or use a microwave press for faster results.
Not keen on lamination? Consider using glass tiles - see this collection of glass bubble and tile pendant tutorials.

Now that's something I never thought of.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there's any way of putting some kind of edge around it instead of having the hard plastic? Something to chew on for a bit I think....
I think leaving the edges as is gives the illusion of transparency. But the edges could be colored I suppose.
