Bahamas Culture Day (NYC) 2012 set for September 2nd

New York, NY - The Bahamian American Cultural Society, Inc. (BACS) announces its fifteenth Annual Bahamas Culture Day New York City, 2012.  On Sunday before Labor Day, September 2, 2012, 12 noon to 12 Midnight  you will mix with thousands of diverse and inspired individuals from across the Northeast and beyond at Pier 66 on the Hudson River, at the foot of West 25th Street in Manhattan. For your enjoyment you will experience the vibrant, warm and exciting flavor of the Bahamian Culture in Bahamian Deserts, drinks; music and dance; Kids Junkanoo Workshop and Rush Out, Bahamian Paintings; folklore and storytelling; Bahamian Art and other aspects of Bahamian Expressions. 

Besides the captivating sounds and rhythms of the Bahamian and Afro Caribbean beat and the soothing Bahamian temperament, we offer you a gorgeous and splendid view – the lights of The New Jersey shoreline, the sparkles of New York City, and the sounds and sights of ocean liners playing the Hudson River. 

You enter without admission charge to Pier 79 and The Bahamas Culture Day. Your generous donation and participation in the on the spot raffle to support the programs of the Bahamian American Cultural Society, Inc. are welcomed and appreciated.
